I saw this a month ago...

Comme on, it's gonna be a shit, no police, no traffic, no nothing.
Aahh, Finally we will get a simulation game. i don't care if there's not going to be any traffic or police. I'm a simracer.
I don't want to be negative, but this game blows. And so does EA.
Lets see what I don't like...
1. Cars going outrageously fast with 230+ MPH. That deserves a WTF comment.
2. Cars with super ugly vynils. In that video where it sais "race complete" it should say "rice completed"
3. Gauges that are just retarded. What happened to the old analog-styled gauges from the old NFSs?
4. Burning out tires before a race. No, that does not give you a better start in real life.
5. Damage is idiotic.
And this game is missing a lot of things from the old NFSs. Another bad NFS. I'm not buying it, just like the last 3 installments.
1. cars going 230+ is endurance high speed racing... (lemans 24Hr. to say the least)
2. well, true, but not all bad since they run this time
3. 21St. century electronics, more precise but more funny looking...
4. watch a drag race, circuit race, F1 race, they all light the rubber up to temp to get better traction in corners, straights, etc....
5. if u cant drive without kissing walls, dont mind driving here or worst, in real life (also, u find NFS 4 & 5 Idiotic for that reason???)
get it to your head, old nfs's arent coming back.
What I meant to say by #5 was that damage in Pro Street seems to be idiotic, not damage in general. I really do like the damage in NFS HS and PU and that's why they are still my favorite NFSs.
Old NFSs aren't coming back as you said, but I'm pretty well aware of that already. I'm just posting my criticism for this game and I'm comparing it to the old NFSs. And so far from the videos I saw, it sucks badly.
Sometimes old people are right when they say no one makes quality things anymore, and I have to agree with that. Nowadays it seems quantity matters more than quality.
the thing is momaka you really can't judge the game until you played it. I say wait for the demo then give your take on it.
and also in drag racing you do warm up your tires so when you launch you don't spin them and loose grip.
about the 230+ speed, yes, of course it deserves a WTF. its like NO WAY. In real racing, acceleration is more important that top speed. But acceleration in real life racing is crazy. Prostreet cars (I mean real life Prostreet racing cars, not the cars in NFS Prostreet) sometimes reach 60mph under 2 seconds. In the past, Prostreet cars some times used jet engines, so if you get that speed with a gasoline car, dont wonder, it has replaced a jet engine. >:D
The guy in the vid, has 2 sentences with ? at their end:"its forgiving, and not punishing" which dont really state a question. Think of these sentences. I've also heard that the reason that they are using an NFS6 style damge is that they dont see a damaged car steering to the sides by itself (like HS and PU) so fun and amusing. So damage just effects the speed.
Momaka, we all are addicted to free roam and cops in NFS. But why? NFSPU didnt have any of those. Instead it was realistic, had real life tunings (well only Porsche's parts), lots of cool tracks, and damage. NFSPU is an old NFS game that is still being played more than other old NFSs. NFS Prostreet, is some how another UG1 with PUs looks and features. Now think about it, didnt all other NFSs after UG1 get based on it? i.e Mazda RX7 has been in all NFSs since UG1. Now think that how awesome would it be if you see the cops back in an NFS based on Prostreet, with Prostreets physics and damage.
but in the other hand, the +3 rating sux. shows that there's nothing sexy or dangerous in the game. s**t.
i didnt see any 230+MPH.. but i saw 230KPH.
- sadly people are jumping the gun with their opinions of pro street..
the game will not be as bad as you all are whining about.. and like mike says, why not try the demo before giving your whining opinion?
@ Mike: True I can't judge the game right now. I never said I'd always feel the same about this game, and there are some things I'm looking fortward to, but so far I just don't seem to like it. Anyhow, enough comments for now then. I'll wait till november, or whenever it comes out, then I'll talk again.
i think most wanted and underground 2 are the best recent games of need for speed. prostreet will be a change, and it may suck in a bunch of different ways, but hopefully EA will do better next year. the thing that pisses me off is that EA has all the materials now to create a very good, driving sim.
1) amazing graphics
2) nice free roam worlds
3) cops
4) customization
5) damage and physics of the cars (even if 230 mph is bulls**t)
the thing that pissed me off with the most wanted and carbon series is that every time u accelerated from 0 mph, u constantly burned out. last time i checked, u need to shift out of neutral to do a real-life burnout. and every time u got below 20 mph, it laid on the brakes automaticly and u skid to a stop.
EA keeps telling everyone that the culture is moving away from the custominzation and "neon" phase. i dont know where in the world they got that crap from. street racing is not international, its illegal and done on free-roaming streets.
pray for EA in the future. theyll need it

Im sure HS is played more than PU.
We are not ALL addicted to FreeRoam and Cops.
Pro Street is nothing like Underground1. - Its Sanctioned racing vs Ricer Illegal StreetRacing. Day vs Night.
With the Damage system, and back to illegal racing, cops would be unrealistic as well since you wouldnt be smashing into blockades or taking out cars as easily as MW., Which would take away alot of fun for those people who just like smashing into the cops., and walls. After the first car you smash into your car would be totalled.
