Descrimination and Stereotyping on the forums
Recently we have had alot of problems with stereotyping on the forums, whether its racism or sexism, we do not tolerate it. to make this clear I want you to read these following lines and think about them every time you post anything on NFSCars:
We do not care if you are 6 or 60.
We do not care if you are a girl or a boy.
We do not care if you are black or white.
Everyone on this forum is the same, a human being, everyone is here to stay and have fun.
No one will make fun of others by using any advantages or disadvantages against them.
this is 2009, anything is possible nowadays, whether its girls, Chinese people, Iranian people, or grandparents interested in video games and cars.
Anyone else that decides it is alright to insult someone becuase of thier appearance, race or gender will also get the same treatment and your permanent banned won't be removed.
It is a privilege to post and participate at nfscars not a right. Anyone who thinks otherwise will find out the hard way.
This is the best I've read to describe this last backlash

Why, indeed, when it so easy to set up a new forum account or a blog and write things which you would never say aloud? Why?
Because of the illusion that your actions, your words are completely consequence free. I say illusion because it is just that, an illusion, it's false. There are always consequences to our actions, though it may not be ourselves who suffer them.
More than a punch to the head, words do hurt. What you write laughing in your bedroom at 4am about another human being can deeply wound that person.
When a time comes that I find myself writing about another person, I always ask myself a simple question: Would I say that to his/her face? If the answer is yes, I hit publish. If the answer is no, I delete.
I wish I could institute this policy to the web as a whole, but I simply don't have that reach. My hope is that some of you at least will take these words to heart, and like our mother's taught us to think before we talk, please think before you type.

I totally agree with Rick. Have fun on the forums poeple.
Thanks, Rick. I was waiting for this kind of response.
Dare to show us who you are thread is the prime example of all the listed behaviours.
*sniff sniff* Are those burned forum accounts, I can smell?? :P
There will be if this idiocy continues.
its about time. no offense to u tho. its really about time someone did something about this and what GTR said. really immature.
totally agree.
Was about time, if you ask me!
It's sad that some people need to be smacked with 2x4 (or ban-hammer, for that matter) to become civilized, or at least pretend to be.
I totally agree, good call on that one.
Thank you Rick...it was getting out of control
Finally! THANKS MAN!
Just because this is a forum doesn`t mean that you people can say anything that you want. So that was probably the best way to tell those type of people who have discriminated others. Relax people this is just a forum. If this was the real world and not the internet then depending on what country you are from and you discriminated against someone or something you could receive harsh consequences. So just remember that everyone is equal and should be treated with respect just like what RedTwentyFour mentioned.
I totally agree.
Yeah, this was right!
We are all together in 'home' of NFSCars. We are here to learn and know anything, not to have an enemy. :) :D
yeah, and still you gotta have respect for the housekeepers too :p
I agree too ;)
you guys are lucky there's a variety of people who like and play NFS - it's a good thing, don't ruin it!

Wise words, FerrariMan, nice to see so many people actually thinking like that, i dont see where all the misstakes came from when everyone is on our side O.o...
i agree....i love this site...i have became friends with few of the guys....and.....this site is for fun....not for saying bad things about somebody els......
wise words FM, thats the sort of thing I would say.
norby7 is right, I feel the same way.
Every one has a common thing in NFSCars, the love for the game series. I don“t understand why some people try to ruin the passion sharing experience. I could bet that people haves a very low selfstime.
@FOX: I throw myself at your mercy.
I was a prime suspect with that dare to show us who you are flame war, and I quite apologise.
Wow. It's about time! We needed this. Hell, the whole internet needs this.
Youtube could really use this too, but I don't see that happening...
haha like that will EVER happen DK1991
well its fair enough that youtube is cut in german, we cant do as much as the rest of the world on there.
I totally agree with Rick 100%.
Reverse sexism much? If discrimination was the problem here, OptikNerv did quite the opposite. That's how he treats everyone. So what this time it was a girl.
How interesting, for 10 years we made fun of kids for being kids (Exotic Lover was a prime example), and yet when someone is older, all the sudden it is ageism to say anything about his age. The man can take a joke, he's a f***ing badass, you don't need to pamper him. Same with the girl. They both drive bigass V8 cars for god's sake.
And how interesting that so many times people were called rednecks, sandniggers, terrorists, AZN (in a negative context), etc, and yet no one ever said anything. Being one those oppressed by this, in no way I accept this "protection". Sorry, too late.
If posting here is a privilege, why are you implying rights for certain people? It doesn't make sense.
When I realize I've saddened someone unintentionally, I take it like a man and I apologize. I did the same for railfan4life and MuscleCarEnthusiast. They weren't even mad.
Thank you so much for that Rick. I think some members on the forums need to learn and deal with this :\.
