NFS: Nitro Release Date Announced.
Electronic Arts and Need for Speed are pleased to announce that Need for Speed NITRO will be available to purchase on the 17th of November. Nitro is being developed by EA Montreal and is exclusive to the Nintendo Wii and the Nintendo DS.
Nitro is badass arcade racing at its best! Customize your car, take corners at 150 mph, and own your opponents. Need for Speed Nitro delivers the fun and exhilaration of high-speed racing with deep and challenging game play, where racing skills are not the only way to victory. Master advanced techniques such as building up boost by taking risks on the road, then use it at the right moment to take the lead. But don’t forget about the cops, who will do everything they can to disrupt the race. However you choose to race, never count on victory until you’ve crossed the finish line.

"Master advanced techniques such as building up boost by taking risks on the road, then use it at the right moment to take the lead."
Gee, that sounds familiar.
Is that a Renault 4...?
I wonder if that's supposed to be a playable car or just a 'traffic' car that happens to be close to the camera...
at this rate maybe it is called Need for Slow : nitro
Wow... apparently one of the requirements for working on this game was NOT how to model.. I guess outright calling this game a arcade racer gives the developers and modelers the right to be sloppy and pathetic at coming up with anything decent.
^ +1
I can only imagine what will be the hero car. Yugo or Lada?
seems you have not been following anything about nitro, or even the concepts it has. The game is not designed for high poly high quality models, and it is definately not designed as a serious racing game. Its a Wii Game, so its supposed to be fun.
Seems you were also not following what I was saying either. Since when does a model have to be high poly to look decent? Its clear from looking at the shots that they were not going for realistic. But like I said just because you are making an arcade racer doesn't mean the modeling has to be pathetic. You do know you can have quality low poly arcadish cars right?
BOTTOM LINE the models are pathetic and executed poorly
