Well, everyone has been anticipating a demo for NFS: Shift, however, the closer we get to the release date, it has been officially stated that the demo will not be coming.
“In the last few weeks we've received a lot of messages and forum posts about a demo so we're currently looking into the feasibility of releasing a demo for SHIFT. We are committed to releasing the best Need for Speed game so we kept the entire team working on the game to make sure we release a really great experience.
We're really proud of what the guys at SMS and Black Box have created and we can't wait to get the game in your hands.”
And here is the video for the Car Battle mode where it is a 1-on-1 race of stock vehicles, where your skill is put to the test competing once and for all to show which car is better.

Hm, kinda reminds of the battles from HP2. Lambo vs Ferrari, Vette vs Viper, that sorta thing. Nice.
this is sooo interesting. ill run R35 GTR against everything!
one of the oldest tuner rivalries in my country are between the Supra and the R34 GTR. i'd like to see this played off in-game. EVO's aren't loved that much here either, WRX STI's are preferred. (the latter two are always squaring off all over the place)
TTGTR is right, i remember a classic, never-ending battle between my friend and I in HP2 was the 911 turbo vs the viper in the desert tracks.
are those races pre-defined with specific match-ups?
It's not the car, it's the driver. Still interesting, though.

this "new feature" is really great and i totally agree with StanOfGB, and it'll really interesting.... but it will have to be between categories?
