Eduardo here. Loved your models and had to show them off. I lurk in the shadows, but I read something about you giving it up? That would be a shame. Your cars are consistently top notch.

I hope to see more in the future.

Well, Eduardo, Robin (having shelved a 1959 Dodge Custom Royal and a 1967 Mercury Monterey) is (thankfully!) working on some mysterious project from the 1950's at the moment, and I hope your appreciation will further motivate him to grace us all with his unique releases from time to time. Now... if only you could mention something about how much you admire his custom hoods (because I feel rather alienated in the worship of this particular aspect of his models and Robin himself admittedly 'hates' such perversions) I'd be truly in your debt. :-)

This is awesome news!

I just hope they don't steal him from us and force him to build Civics and Scions. :P

It's only vaguely related but I just have to say it: doesn't it feel somewhat paradoxical that even one of EA's creative luminaries enjoys user-provided add-ons for a title which does not officially support them?

look, it might not support this out of legal issues, but then "someone" (aru) made it possible to drive other cars in the game, and im quite sure EA dosnt actually HATE that idea ;)

they did the hard work and for sure appriciate when other people put hard work into it too.
i mean man. theres this awesome racing game he was part of, and now theres like 5000 new cars for it, sure he would use some of those and check it out. << that part goes to all you modders out there, you can be sure, someone of the original team of the game will definatly have checked out your work!

Don't get me wrong, Rick. I feel unambiguously positive about Eduardo's appreciation of Robin's work, and I'm sure that - were it up to the art department guys alone - they would strive to promote support for add-ons (as they indisputably contribute to the longevity of the appeal of their own work) in order to make life easier for our talented modders. It wasn't my intention to pollute this space with any bitterness though. It's just that I do miss the old High Stakes craze which gave birth to this very site, didn't it?

FYI: Although we've just started blogging recently, the article you guys saw wasn't the first mention of NFS Cars or my personal opinion on user generated content. I encourage you all to find the other articles and leave comments or opinions. Support of the blogs will help us build direct links to our fanbase and get a better understanding of what they want out of their NFS experience.

Cheers!

that is awesome ed, you could even feature our members on a review base or something!

oh btw, slap your translators, the NFSCars vinyl in Shift, is called NFS Autos in the german version (they translated the NAME) thats just really strange to read since the logo still is NFSCars ;)
