Electronic Arts teases the NFS fans with bits of the newest NFS title to follow, which will be named NFS:Rivals. Developed by Ghost in association with Criterion Games, the game will be using the Frostbite 3 engine. A trailer has been published aswell as a first cover shot, with the trailer promising (as usual) top-notch graphic effects. There is little to no gameplay information at this time, but what we do know might be good news for italian car fans: This NFS will contain at least one Ferrari! Check it out:
We will be performing network maintenance today between 10 AM CST and 2 PM CST.
During this time NFSCars will be offline for a short period of time but we don't expect to be offline for more then an hour.
We apologize for this inconvenience ahead of time.
Seems we had some downtime today and I didn't realize it until late Thursday night due to being tied up with work. I have tracked down the cause to windows update shutting down the database server when it should have just rebooted the server.
Sorry for the inconvenience, everything should be back to normal.

Interested in the cop cars, too?
Why don't you figure out what make, model and year they are?
I will then post them on here and give the first ones to guess them the credit. :)
This week we're celebrating the German cars in Need for Speed Most Wanted in the lead up to GamesCom. Today's it's the turn of the Mercedes SLS AMG, the flagship Benz.
The iconic doors are inspired by classic 1952 300 SL.
It¹ll jump from 0-60 in 3.7 seconds and top out at 197 miles per hour, but it¹s not just the performance that makes this car special.
It’s the sound.
The 6.3 liter V8 delivers spectacular power and a fantastic soundtrack at any speed. Hit the gas hard and the SLS screams blue murder.
In-game it’s powerful but very well balanced, with an excellent drift. Its light weight makes it a target for heavier, more durable cars, but they’ve got to catch you first.
