Description

============ MASERATI SPYDER GT=================

Author: Power^Steer|nG
======================
Polycount: 7300
Serial Number: 47
Dash: No
EVERYTHING 3D

This is the car I always wanted to design,oh, but that was
a GranSport. I couldnt find BPs of that car, but this one.
So I decided to make this one. The feature I
like most, in this car, is the logo on grill, which looks 3d
but actually mapped.... and It cost me only two polies.... :D

Soon you people will get a Ferrari Concept (Ferrari Ascari Concept)
from me, which won the competition and soon will be in production. :)

=================================================================
Note: you can n ot edit or convert this car without my permission.

@ Power^Steer|nG & Zpectre
That old 3200GT was my work, too. Sure it sux, thats why I decided to model a new Maserati from scratch. Its poly count is about 9000 with a highly detailed interior, so I probably used (more or less) the same amount of polies for the body.

@Max911
You got me, I mean the Porsche. If you take it serious, well it will bother you and only you.
Its just taste. I prefer an Italian grand turismo over a German piece of anachronism ;)

Smooth? This? Sorry to say, you have no idea what a Maseratis like.
Well, mine isnt a Spyder, but you might catch some ideas how to improve yours.

hmmm...if u r talking about those uncommon darkish lines and shades, those r reflections... :S

and urs is from NFS6:HP2 (i think) and this is the game which gives the most smooth renders among its series... u gimme ordinary zmod shots...and yes...its the GFX card....

like the more u press accelerator, the more car runs...similarly the more polies u add, the more it gets smooth. :)

@Blo0m: Your car must not have 7,300 polies only... Therefore you cant even compare your work to his.

The only other good Maserati for NFS4 is ironically made by Blo0m (not available here), and it has way less polies and more imperfections (made at another time of NFS editing), so... I guess itll get replaced in my car roster.

However this car has some things which Ill need to fix:

- Rear emblem changes color with the car;

- Front badge (not the grille one) isnt centered;

- Its scaled too big;

- Colors are wrong! You were a bit lazy on this :P

Overall good car, deserves 8.5/10.

Oh yeah I forgot to say that the scaling of the car can be misleading as to whether its accurate or not.

Looks awesome. I dont really see the flaws, except the scale being too large but, o well. It looks fine the way it is. Besides, I can fix this. And I too would like to see this ride in NFS5.

@ Blo0m. OMG, the back plate sais 911SUX. You dont mean Porsche I hope... right?

@Zpectre: thnx for mentioning the bugs.... ;) Actually the cars size if b/w EAs Z3 and M5...I think big/small enough. The car is looking big in this screenshot coz I took screenshot in Narrow Screen mode. this was more details could be seen. :) about the colors ... I had been having some problems in my FCE Finish (It often get crashed if high poly car is opened)...so I could not fix the colors. and what is emblem BTW? :D

@All: If somebody know how to convert it to NFS5.. you are permitted...Just PM me so I may know who is going to convert, but u have to credit author accordingly...I am not saying so as I wana have my name in NFS5 also but coz this is the rule..... :| .. Only one limitation... u cant upload it to any other website.....

Hehe the 911 would beat the Maserati Coupé in a race... Well...

You dont need FCE Finish for the colors. I too have problems with it in my PC but I found a little program called FCE Converter which allows me to customize colors. However the colors wont be displayed in the game as they are in the tool; getting them right is trial-and-error.

By emblem I mean the badge next to the hood.

Id rate it a 9 or even 9.5 out of 10 after rescaling, the smaller size somehow makes the car even more close to the real one.

@BLo0m: You gotta convert it to NFS4 then... Even if the interior cannot be mapped. For which game is it?

Unfortunately Power^Steer|nG didnt make a rooftop so I had to borrow one from another car (for my private use, mind you; how could I allow the rain to soak the interior of a Maserati? :D ) and it still doesnt look as good as the coupé would. I saw a Coupé IRL some time ago and its a fantastic car. You cant really compare it with a 911 Turbo, though, because they express beauty in different ways and serve different purposes.

BTW your Maserati didnt suck at the time of its release; its only that it looks a bit old nowadays compared to all of the cars which have been released after it. Same thought applies to Klaus Heynes Opel Speedster.

Oh guys, do you remember Thomas Egelkrauts Ferraris? Those were the days... sob sob...

My new Maserati is a WIP for Racer. It needs baked textures and some interior tweaks before release. I used quite a lot of textures, so I cant promise a single 256x256 will do, but its worth a try. Even if NFS wont work on my PC any more :|
