Does this work on the demo?

yes it does

i tried it as it is told in the install.txt but when starting go!.bat i get an error when tool2 starts. It says ERROR FILES NOT FOUND, run tool1.exe and eaconv.exe first
Then it jumps to tool3 which restores data..... End of process but nothing extracted.

I did but that did not help! Also startet the .bat an eaconv.exe in Dos Prompt. there i get an information which kond of formats the converter supports but not how to use!

Plz, can someone give me detailed (step by step) information how to use the whole extractor?

yeah...want to tell us how this works? ive looked into the batch file but i cant diagnose anything wrong with it. perhaps Tool3 just doesnt work?

no i think its tool2.....because this one is skipped everytime....tool3 does the restoring of the *.mus file...

u have to copy the music.mus to the folder that the music extractor files were extracted

i dont think this tool works at all. tis a great idea, but get someone who knows what they are doing.

HEY GUYS it works!!!!
just delete all what have u done with this extractor and download it from here:

(save target as...)
1. Download the extractor and extract the contents to an empty folder.

2. Go to your Program FilesEA GAMESNeed for Speed Most WantedSOUNDPFDATA directory, and copy the MW_Music.mus file into the same directory as in step 1.

3. Run the Go!.bat file (double-click on it), and be patient.

4. The game music will slowly be converted from the music file into 26 individual .WAV tracks, which will take up almost 2GB of space for the retail version

And it still gives the same error!

It works :) found out how to. just do the folowing:

1. download file

2. extract files into the nfsmw directory
ex.
C:Program FilesEA GAMESNeed for Speed Most WantedSOUNDPFDATA

3. Run the go!.bat and wait !!!

Anyway it worked for me like that!! ;)

I have reinstalled the game, copied MW_Music.mus ro same directory as the tool was extracted and it worked. Finally, I can enjoy the soundtrack! :)

Actually Its all writing in install.txt .... Thats when noone read what he should..

or u can just go out and search the net and get each individual song :)

I did the xtraction but it created about 1700 files of 1sec music each

dude, This File has a Trojan, even a cheap antivirus would detect it , Virus is on TOOL2.DAT

PEOPLE YOU MUST READ THIS I FOUND I CLUE!!

When you move the "MW_music.mus" to the folder where you have extracted the files from this download and then open "Go!.bat" after the first tool is finished the second tool starts and then thats when the error comes. This error says: "That's an EARLY BETA version. It IS contain bugs. It WILL crash. I KNOW that.
For playing vp6-avi files, go to www.on2.com, downlaod and install VP6 codec."
you can see for you self just wait after tool 1 finished and the error will be at the bottom in color RED AND GREEN! i don't know if it works cause i just found it, hopefully it does of to see if it works!:)

BTW this one's corrupt, the one on nfsplanet works.
