If anyone remembers playing the Playstation 2 version of Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2 which had better cars than the Gamecube/XBox/PC versions? Well here is a replica of one of those cars the Pursuit Ford Crown Victoria. I have sucessfully recreated the car from the default PC version's model by giving it c-pillars which the original car lacked, gave it 3d door handles and door moldings, I also gave it the 911 with phone decal which is where Most Wanted, Carbon and Undercover gets from the Playstation 2 version of Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2, recreated the PS2 Crown Victoria's from a code 3 lightbar made by Texas Ranger, I also modified it to look like the lightbar from that CV and gave it the strobes from one of the NFS 6 lightbars too, the car also has a replica of the fat cop from Hot Pursuit 2 who in the PS2 version was one of the drivers of the police cars on some tracks and also appears in busted cutscenes where as he is just limited to busted cutscenes in the Gamecube/XBox/PC versions of the game, it also has damaged inspired by the all 4 versions of Hot Pursuit 2 and as well as damage inspired by Most Wanted as well, added the wipers from EA's NFS Prostreet 03 Mustang GT ripped by aironeracing who I credit for ripping the Mustang from that game, it also has exposed areas when the car loses its doors, bumpers, hood and trunk, level of detail parts and as a bonus a replacement for the civic cruiser that appears in busted cutscenes or some cutscenes before races with black list racers like Taz it also appears in the cutscene before the first race with him. How to install the car is included in the readme and oh before anyone asks how did I get the Ford and Crown Victoria logos into the game when its impossible to do with police and traffic cars? Well its not photoshopped I used NFSTex, converted and modified the Crown Victoria logo from the original Hot Pursuit 2 version and replaced the tp logo with the Ford Logo and the Crown Victoria logo replaces the temp360 logo. I did that just for these pictures only so sorry to disappoint anyone who thinks it might be possible to get menu logos for cop and traffic cars its not. I hope everyone enjoy these replicas/replacements for the heat 1 units and before anyone complains its not playable and only for the ai cops I would recommend downloading a modified save file, a save file editor or do some hex editing to play with this wondeful car.
