Description

2005 Aston Martin DBR9

Base mesh by Codemasters from Race Driver GRID, converted to Need For Speed Most Wanted by FOX.
Replaces Mercedes-Benz SL500.

Features:
- 5 different race liveries as body kits [fixed wheel position]
- changeable paint
- changeable aftermarket rims
- changeable window tints
- rice-proof - no spoilers, roof scoops, hoods, vinyls, decals or numbers
- car's stock performance as close as possible to its real-life counterpart but slightly bigger top speed [~342KM/H; ~212MPH]; but not overly realistic
- upgraded performance more arcade with top speed of 406KM/H; ~252MPH and improved handling; fast and powerful but with rebuilt handling for balance reasons
- brake/reverse -light dummies working and in correct places
- driver model from Need For Speed ProStreet
- new secondary logo; uses default game manufacturer logo so no fuss with files in FRONTEND folder
- costs 180 000 and is unlocked after beating Webster, Blacklist driver #5
- no headlight dummies since it's rather pointless to have headlights when you're racing only during the day

Bugs:
None currently known but let me know if you see any.

Yes indeed great car and great conversion. but too bad it replaces the SL500 becase there's a nice Nissan R391 repacing the same car.

@Sgt.Steffl
Did you copy the SL500 folder into CARS folder or CARS_REPLACE?
Also you need modloader before you can install mod cars

And also thanks to all who like this car. I made its performance so it's a direct competitor to my previous release - GT1 Corvette C6.R.

@Stevo
I thought about this as well and had some dillemma. I wanted to replace DB9 but it's replaced by Alexsfr's ProStreet Zonda which I like as well. Main reason of replacing SL500 was very few cars replacing that default game car.

@Lookyn
I experimented with lots of engine audios and didn't want to make same mistake as EA - putting Honda S2000 audio on lot of default cars. Awesome sounds are also used by Carrera GT and stock Gallardo but those don't really fit the Aston.

My next car will probably be either Camaro Concept, Dodge Challenger Concept or Honda NSX-R. Didn't decide yet and can't really say when it will be released.

@FOX
if you are decide before there 3 cars (Camaro Concept, Dodge Challenger Concept or Honda NSX-R) I PLEASE YOU!!! make that Honda =) it is awesome car and there is only one conversion by Ark-X Stylizer... it´s perfect work too, but it replaces CAYMAN S... I am sorry but I have beatiful Corvette Stingray by Bookmaker to replace CAYMAN S...
make that car same perfect like Ark-X Stylizer, replace some another car and it will be perfect =) THX!

Ok. Honda NSX-R will be my next projecy. For now I'm thinking it might replace Punto but I'm open to suggestions.

Why did the performances of all cars adjusted to some extent? Like, the top speed has been lowered and acceleration has been raised. That happened when I installed this car.

NSX for Punto, i second that.

@RCKakashi
It might be the case that game engine caches all attributes and scales the statistics bars [top speed, accel and handling] for all other cars in accordance to the best car with most powerful performance. That's if you're talking about that, of course.
Performance bars are always changed, rescaled etc. That's changed by the modloader. Probably because it takes cops' performance into account [top speed 460km/h etc].

And yes, Punto seems like a reasonable car to replace. To be honest I avoid giving mod cars to blacklist racers. Some performances that I do, are quite powerful and having to deal with BL racer driving a GT1 car while you're driving an Impreza for example, wouldn't be too fair ;)

I think that R390 GT sucks...hard to control. But my MOD wont even run the DBR9, once it was run my computer stuck..goddamn it haha

@venomm2003
I could do that but I suppose that everyone would like to be able to tune their cars' performance one way or another. And thanks :)

GREAT CAR! Guys, if you want vinyls from an addon car and it not have just copy vinyls bin from car that it replaces and paste it on addons, cars replace and car which not have vinyls. That works for me at 5/6 cars ;)
