This is the result of having OCD :)

Features and Updates

MW Mesh: Thanks to AirOne for the follwing mesh converted from MW, driver, roof, window frame and brakes.

Wheels: The original HP2 wheels looked nothing like the real car's, so I modified them to perfection.

High Res 1024x1024: Interior, Engine and a few other textures were done by me. Others came directly from HP2 and MW.

Animated Driver: The driver has arm movement.

License Plate: The license plate displays "YOUR OWN" username.

Showcase: Official Porsche Carrera GT concept photos and stats in the showcase menu.

Menu Logo: Carrera GT logo in the garage menu.

Changeable color: Everything can be changed like, the body, wheels, brakes and interior for you to customize.
Change the wheels and brakes using trim package 7 and the interior using custom colors.

Damage: Carbon Fibre Like Body damage and Window damage that can be seen from the interior.

Lights: Headlights, Fogs, Signals, Reverse and Brakes.

Hardtop: Buyable in evolution mode in the parts section.

Upgrade: Buy superchargers, engine upgrades, suspension upgrades, tyres ect. to enable your car to reach speeds of up to 262.5mph /420kmh

Opening Parts: Doors, Hood and Trunk all open.

Brakes: Brakes turn and move with the wheels.

Interior windows: Clear when driving with the interior view.

Buyable: I did include a save file with two cars, one standard and one tuned with the best parts.
But you can also buy this car for $0 and sell it for $100,000,000 in Evolution mode.

Factory Driver: You can do all the factory driver missions with the car using my save file.

Setup: Extract the zip file then run "Setup" or if you have WinZip just run "Setup"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I highly recommend GTR's (aka Amir) Reflection mod Version 1.4 - "Simulation Racing"
It's the most realistic reflection mod I found and is ideal for high poly cars.
(The screen shots were taken while using it)

Download here: http://www.nfscars.net/file/view/porscheunleashed/8065.aspx

Please report any bugs
Update: Black window in interior view fixed

Thank you and enjoy!!!

Thanks for all the comments, much appreciated.

I found a little bug today playing on my cous's pc, as you can see on the screenshots with my graphics card the interior window is clear but on his it was pitch black.... hope this was only with his pc but please tell me if you have the same problem. Wil try to fix it in the meantime, sorry for the inconvenience :)

@mkIII - lol. I wonder how you've seen that.... keep rolling rolling...... :)

Nice convertion!
Buyable parts are great! How have you done it for the roof?

I have black windows too.

There are some very little bugs...
There's too much sparkles... and some of them doesn't work properly: logo on hood, doors' handles stay in place even when you open hood and doors so that these sparkles shine in the air. I guess that there is no solution for this trouble(I couldn't figure them)

You used 1024x1024 textures. It's great for the details but it's too much for nfs5 graphics engine. The game'll crush if some tries to race this car and all 7 opponents. 4 512x512 textures will solve this problem.

And finally, I don't like driver in garage(but dont get it too serious, it's just my point of view:)). Is it possible to make driver appear only during the race(something like you've done with different roof options)?

@egorOgr - Thanks for having a look, feels great to be reviewed by one of the masters :) Was your car (slant nose) that inspired me to redo this one.

I'll definenitely show you how to do the roof, could send you info via PM or start a thread?

Ahh crap looks like I'll have to forget the idea about the clear interior windows, the only way I got rid of that problem was by doing it the old way or by having clear exterior windows with no damage, will update it soon.

Ah yes, those sparkles can be solved, read about it in Aru's thread, something to do with adding ,...something.... in the marix line? But I've got no idea how to calculate that?

Thanks for the info on the resolution, and here I just thought I have a crappy graphics card :)

And the damn driver :) Caused me a bunch of sleeples nights. I decided in the end to ignore him in the garage, tried and tried to make him disapear but no success, and if i got rid of him the arms would still hang around as they are linked to the steering.

Thank you again for pointing these out, the perfect car would be awesome, with all of these little bugs sorted out and working gauges?

Window bug fixed, I must admit the overall look is better with clear windows. And when you crash more realistic. Also got rid of those sparkles that don't move with the hood and doors... started to irritate me :)

I hope thread about roof and other buyable parts for new cars in nfs5 will be more usefull.

What problem with driver's arms if you can make driver disappear in garage?
You can make them separate from steering wheel... something like steer_arms?
Or make them not rotating with steering(the whole driver with arms as one part)...

@ RockWheels - There could be problems with vista as I only tested it on XP. To install the sav file manually you can extract the file and move it to "Electronic Arts\Need For Speed - Porsche 2000\SaveData" Hope this works

Gerhard, I want to congratulate you for making this beautiful car. But what i dont like about it is the damage file. I mean, it's a Porsche. It should resist to a head-on collision, or any other type of collision. This is a yellow card, if not a red card. If you could do something to remedy it, it would be great. Congratulations again for making and improving the car.

@alex_culidiuc - Sorry but I really don't understand what you meant with the damage?

@RockWheels - No worries, that won't upset me :)
I'll have a look on Vista sometime to see what's wrong. Is it just the sav file that gives you problems on Vista or the whole game? If it's only the sav, maybe you can try and change the compatibility to XP. I'm really not sure about any of this but maybe there's something in the sav file that tells the game the operating system should be XP?

First of all, congratulations for this great car and thank you very much for uploading it.

By trying it, I was really amazed by something I had never seen in an Nfs Porsche car so far: in the outside view, the windshield is clearly visible but in the inside view (and even by watching the car from behind in the outside view) it seems to be invisible. How did you do that?

I precise that I can’t see damage on the windows when I crash the car (unlike on your screenshot), but this isn’t important. For me, the most important is to be able to see the windows only from the exterior and not in the inside view.

Could you please tell us how you can make the windows single-sided or, at least, how you did them in your car - maybe this effect only appears on my computer? - (name and number of the material they are affected to, changes which need to be done in the tgp file etc.)?

Thanks in advance!

2 Geckolino:

There is no miracle with onesided windows. They are onesided if there's no tint. Just paint alpha texture black for windows.
There's one thing: normals should look a bit upward atleast. Side, normals are looking from will be visible(with reflections) then.

Gerhard. I'm having a problem. My NFS isn't in the C/Program Files/ETC...

I got mine in D/NFS Porsche 2000/

And it seems like you're setup cannot find it when in other folder, so i installed the files manually. Although, it doesn't work. The Carrera GT doesn't appear in "Parts" in Evolution, as it's supposed to. I'm annoyed, the car looks amazing, and i want to drive it so badly, could you help me out? Thanks man!
