What an irony...in one of the trailers in previous threads, it says NFSC will be released in September.

Yeah, but the interviewed EA person (forgot his name) himself clearly says 'November' at the end of the clip, so that is more than likely a mistake on Gamespot's (publisher of that interview) part.

Usally the demos for games come earlier than the actual release of the game. I'm sure you have nothing to worry about.

BTW, this is old news!

Guess what? you're posting in an old thread!
Anyway, for those that do wonder, the sept 3 date that was mentioned before seems to be a no-go, that site is now saying end of september or beginning of october.

If you mean the game itself, the new Autosculpt video notes November 1st at the end. The demo though is anyones guess, since there is that copy that was being bid on at ebay

I was referring to:
http://www.nfsplanet.com/nfsc_demo.php?lang=eng
It used to say the demo would be available on sept 3 if I'm not mistaken.

Demo has not been announced yet. No date has been set.
They are currently trying to determain a date for the demo. Once they know they can deliver on a date they will announce it.

Thank you for clearing this all up! No one is absolutly sure so stop making inaccurate guesses that are farfetched.

Not 'usually', the demos for games ALWAYS come out earlier than the real game's release.

That's not true. I can't recall any examples now (in part because I don't care enough about those things), but I have known games that demos were released for shortly after the game itself was released.

Let people try the game before they buy it? That doesn't change just because the game was already released. The people that are eagerly awaiting a certain game and don't care about a demo unless it's released before the game itself (because otherwise they would've bought the game already) are a minority I'm pretty sure.
Preparing a demo costs time, if you're on a deadline to release the game, in some situations it may make sense to release the demo after the game itself.

Anyway, you want an example? Okay, google gave me this:

Demos are meant to be "teasers", which stir up word-of-mouth and (hopefully) make people anxious to buy the game. It's not only good business sense, but good common sense. Companies that release demos after the game is released either a) have their heads screwed on backwards or b) felt that the game didn't have a good marketing run the first time and are trying to re-promote their games.

Anyway, EA's not that stupid. They'll definitely release the NFSC demo before the game.

the reason is because sometimes even though the game is out some gamers wont buy it without first trying the demo and if tehres no demo majority of the time it gets less sales then if there is a demo

so yes it may be good business and common sense to release the demo before the game is out but the same applys to if its released after
