I had opportunity to attend another Need For Speed: Community day last friday to preview Need For Speed: Pro Street. I had the chance to play 3 game modes and have written about my experience so far with the modes.

I have to say this I am really impressed with the drag racing mode.

at the time of the Preview, there was no drift information, look through the news archive for a video posted recently.

Quote from review: For us PC players we were told that lan mode will be available in NFS: Pro Street but it won't be in on the launch title. It will become available later as a patch.
Unfortunately replays did not make it into the game due to time constraints and not being where they wanted to be with the replays. It sucks.

And also unfortunately, another case of robbing Peter to pay Paul. A promise for LAN mode later is nothing more than that. They don't have time for LAN mode, replays and split screen two player because they are already working on the next game.

But they did have time for smoke effects. And have you seen the smoke effects? And, how about those nifty smoke effects? Too many times we see developers turning more of their attention on graphics and eliminating prominent game modes and features they always used to have.

or its because they want to be sure all the platforms are completed properly before release, then working on adding the extra features afterwards.

PC is the only platform that will use LAN, so why work specificially on that before release when there's the other consoles that dont use it that will require last minute tuning before the release.

grip is lap races, drift is a sectional point A to B race where you're trying to get right sideways.
