I know alot of people haven't been too impressed with the drifting mode in Pro Street but I for one love it. It's alot more realistic towards the steering, like getting it sideways then countersteering to keep it going around. The one thing I'm not happy with is the initial acceleration but that is throughout the whole game and not just drifting.

What's everyones best drift? I scored a 57xx last night, I kind of miss the full-course drifting but I'm only on React Sessions so theres been a few longer courses to drift.

i had a 6000+. but i can't beat ryo with 350z or e46 with stage 3 parts. do i have to get 240sx?

6,500+ in Aki Kimura's RX-7

rx7 or 240 sx is better ?

I drift RX and it's great, light, and changes direction quickly, but ae86 is better at this...

The AE86 is pure drift machine. Small nimble and great at holding the longer drifts. The RX-7 comes a close second but then those are the only 2 I have chosen to drift. The GTO and G35 were crap. Well the GTO isn't too bad its just got too much mass so you overshoot corners too easy, but other than that the Hachi is the King.
Just got 6594 on Ebisu Circuit B in my Hachi Roku (86 in Japanese) which is my highest so far.

the thing about the hachi roku is that it is good driftcar from the beginning, stock is good, and stages 1 to 3 only improve it =)

Ironically I had a RX-7 as backup to my Hachi and ended up beating Aki without even touching it. The Hachi owned Aki with ease, though I did have a stage 4 engine. still only 172Bhp :D

yes i have stage 3. it's less than that :D a game error? but still very good at drifting

Try the 2003 Mustang GT, it's a great drifter :)

I don't really like the drifting at all. The most I have ever gotten is about 4000, and right now I am in Noise Bomb.

Right now I have a Supra, and before that I had a Silvia S15. They both seemed pretty decent for me.

S15 is good but the AE86 just owns totally. Don't really know how to express it. but I shortened the gear ratios a lot and it just nails every corner in 2nd. Then you go to Autopolis and you have that long sweeping corner which I still can't drift well and it nails it in 3rd or 4th.

I don't like the heavy powerful drift cars (GTO, Mustang GT '03) they don't flick well round corners. You have to man handle them from start to finish.

@rzakyn - Nah its not a glitch you need to retard the engine to get the max Bhp and also have Stage 4 engine. To get it without retarding the motor you should probably get the Drivetrain and Turbo Stage 4 too. TBH it makes pretty much no difference to this car at all.

I'm tempted to try a Drag Hachi and see what 174Bhp can do on the strip :D

Probably. Its all down to personal taste but if you go on how it handles then yeah its the best. Got a few 6000+ results on Ebisu and Autobahn with it.

yes i made some tuning. now it's very easy to win all the races with AE86.

if u put all the parts to that car in real life, will it only be 174hp ? i doubt that.

I have an RX-7 stage 3 drift car with about 500 bhp and my best score was 7586 in a Super Promotion event. I`ve tried the Silvia,Viper,ae83, but the RX suits my tastes, also the transition from one corner to another
is faster an smoother. The phisics of drifting in this game are fair, compaired to the arcade style in Carbon is much better but not so realistic as NFS Porsche or Oversteer drift mod from rFactor.

Carbon didnt have "drift" it had lead sleds on a greased track...

Impressive drift. I will have to try that with a car with more Bhp. All mine are pretty low Bhp cars atm. No way they could make 185 in 5th gear!

I find you have to countersteer before you exit, like get it going the opposite direction before you exit...

I really cant believe that you got 10k against ryo, I consistently get 3500+ on those two tracks in the DK challenges but when I go to ryo I get robbed so bad its not funny, I play hell making 3k, regardless of car(240sx,350z,aki's rx7)
