what guys u play car games with ?

i used to have a logitech formula gp. it was not good or not bad. i bought a logitech MOMO force racing. it's like a simulation. u have to buy it. i don't think giving too much money for a G25 is a good idea.

i played many car games. but wheel works very good at prostreet and GTR2. i think gtr2 is the best simulation game. also f1 challenge 99-02 is a good game.

I've always felt comfortable with the keyboard. Even if I had a controller, I'd probably use the keyboard most of the time.

i don't know about the other wheels. and momo is the best wheel. read the reviews.

@keyboard users : i used to say that real cars must be controlled by keyboard. but after i bought the wheel, i never played car games with keyboard. i learnt many techniques with wheel. and i beat most of the people in real life in go-kart.

G25 player. I like using manual clutch mode because you'll lose your rotational speed if you shift up/down without hitting clutch. It feels more like real.

cause an f1 style driver wouldn't buy g25 ;) it's 900 degrees. 240 degrees is better for me.

so if i were to make a thread on what car people drove, i would include: sedans, trucks, suv's and the veyron 16/4 (because its the fastest production car). my point is just that your poll wasnt too inclusive and you couldve made a bit more inclusive :)

G25 for me...just got my replacement today! Works great at 180 degree mode with the paddles. I tried it at 270 and it worked ok, but quicker really helps through the ridiculous hairpins.

Wasn't there a similar thread before? Anyways, a keyboard because you can turn really fast. I tried UG2 with a wheel and it was though I was driving drunk. Other people had the same problem.

Keyboard since I have a PC! I never driven a wheel before! but I'm buying the game today but not very sure! I need help! I want to buy it but don't know if it'll work on my PC! I have 2.8GHz, Pentium D, Nvidia 7300GT, 250Gb, DirectX 9.0c, 2Gb RAM.

A proud owner of MOMO Racing. I`ve nerver tried the G25, only some Sayteks and the cheap Gembird and Genius, but I can say that my racing world changed after I bought it. I uesd to think Richard Burns Rally and GTR2 were crap because they were hard and couldn`t control them with my keyboard, but after swiching to MOMO, this are among the best car games in the world along side rFactor. I have a suggestion for those of you steering wheel owners: If you like GTR 2 and simulation racing games try rFactor and the addon mods from rfactorcental.com.

I'm using my newly modded Logitech MOMO Racing. I was tired of switching my shifter when I drove right driven cars. I used a custom car shifter and a 3/8" bolt.

Keyboard at the moment, but once I get organised and buy one, a G25 for the better control available.

Too often, I'm tapping a key to take a corner at the best angle. A wheel (heck, any analogue controller) has an advantage here. Similarly when reving up for Drag races, the analogue controller has an advantage in getting a perfect shift.

Keyboard racer here. But I would definitely want a wheel.

Some racing games are great on the keyboard. And some racing games are great with the wheel.

I use keyboard for all of my racing games on the computer
because it allows you to turn much faster but on the XBOX
360 I have a steering wheel for Pro Street, Carbon and
Most Wanted.

i use the momo myself if you use forcefeed back on it.There is never any type of understeer to it,a good grip like a real steering wheel, and it's last around 7 years where the keyboard buttons wears out.The momo wheel is pure fun to have for racing games.

G25, best wheel out there. It makes the momo look like a Ferrari compared to an F1 race car. Both are excellent wheels but the G25 takes the cake. I use a little blue Elise in drag mode, I skip gears 3 and 4 and I get high-6 second 1/2 mile times as my best (my average is mid-7's). I will not use the zonda, it is a rediculously overpowered car in ProStreet, no tuning it'll still smoke everything else.

The G25 is capable of 900 degrees, however you can change it to whatever you want really (havent seen the minimum setting though, I generally use it on 270, works great for PS) Clutching is a treat, a little hard to get used to as you cant 'feel' when it's time to shift. Force feedback is awesome, and setting the levels at 150% is pretty much a workout for nerds (I dont have much of a problem with it, I'm used to it but I've had people complain it was too much, so I turned it down to 100% again).

I feel it's better to use wheel for top speed run and speed challenge. keyboard is better for grip and drift.

On computer i use a keyboard cause its ll i have at my disposal and i cant afford a wheel yet. but when i inherit lots of money from an unknown scottish relitive i'll be sure to buy a wheel and pedals for games. On Xbox i have a wheel but it is completely useless. its only got 180 degrees of rotation and thats equivelent to moving your controler joystick about half way. so you cant turn lol. never buy a tru-blu racing wheel. lol

Arcades like NFS - keyboard.
Sim Racing - wheel.

I prefer keyboard over anything but nevertheless, wheel does give full control.

G25 user here. Love the precision that can be had. In terms of NFS - best for PU and PS, imo. Takes a moment to get use to it for drifting, but my scores are better than before (on keyboard).

Generally set at 540 deg (lock-to-lock).

P.S. Also agree that the poll is not thorough. Console gamepas,Keyboards, PC gamepads, And Steering wheel (instead of pointing out 2 Logitech Steering units) - would have made a better poll. Oh well, no use crying over spilt milk.
