SVTlover 12-03-2007, 12:40 PM Anyone got any advice on the drift parts?
I kicked his arse at grip, drag and speed but its the Tokyo drifts I can't do, I've tried loads of different stuff.
Any tips?
I'm using a 2005 GTO with 410BHP.
Myojinoir 12-03-2007, 02:11 PM try Charger R/T

ok the way i beat him is i used a mazda rx-7 to beat him in drifting. try that car and tune it to max the you should be able to win
demoman_chaos 12-03-2007, 04:22 PM I have the same problem. Those drift tracks are defenantly not my best.
The_R 12-03-2007, 05:37 PM use either a toyota corolla AE86 or the rx-7. i just used the boss RX-7 tht i won made quick work of stupid Ryo.
SubyRS 12-03-2007, 06:35 PM Yes, the AE86 is the easiest way to go. Double your drift scores without even trying.
Vanexroxics 12-03-2007, 08:55 PM RX-7 ftw. To be a better choice (saving your money), beat Aki Kimura and get her RX-7. It pwns.
Kaerar 12-04-2007, 09:16 AM Yeah Aki's pwns because its fully decked in Stage 4 gear. Still find the AE86 Corolla and the Silvia S15 better for drift though. The S15 for fast Drift and the Corolla for tight drift.
SVTlover 12-04-2007, 09:38 AM thanks for your advice guys but i'd prefer to not use *** cars
i'm more of a European and American car person
Kaerar 12-04-2007, 08:18 PM Well if you have a problem with *** cars then you are in for some drifting problems. The best of the Euro cars is probably the 2 M3's. I am using a Cayman in my German only game and that seems to work ok, but drifting is *** tech. The GTO is heavy and slow to react (also its Australian not American ;) ) and seeing as muscle isn't the best for drift it may be beneficial to look at those M3's or maybe that Z4M Coupe. I can't recommend the Cayman as its very average.
PS its interesting to see that J.a.p is considered a bad word by the filter :S
SVTlover 12-05-2007, 12:33 PM I'm suprised that j.a.p is considered bad too.
Thanks again i'll look into the M3s as i have both of them.
I recently changed my Mustang to drift mode, it made me get slightly more points but not enough.
Kaerar 12-05-2007, 11:26 PM If you want a Muscle drifter the Camaro Concept maybe worth a look too. But the ideal is lightweight and quick shifting so muscle isn't generally suited. The Viper does drift, but its a little bit OTT when on the limit of a slide. Its very easy to end up going backwards through a corner due to excess torque.
As for points I know you don't like Japanese cars but I have been averaging on the good drift courses about 5000-7000 with a pretty stock Corolla. The RX-7 is almost as good too. Gotta play with it more though. Thinking I may go a Asian only game soon :D
SVTlover 12-06-2007, 08:35 AM on the official tracks ie Infineon and autopolis i have been achieving over 5000 points in my GTO.
I will look at the M3s rather than the Camaro Concept (I havent bought a Camaro so it will save me money)
Kaerar 12-06-2007, 09:13 AM Apparently in a test the top two drifters are the M3 E46 and the S15 Silvia with both scoring in the high 12000's (done at NFSUnlimited by YaelDijel). That was on the Autopolis B track. Other well thought of drift cars did not fare so well...
SVTlover 12-06-2007, 02:28 PM I've beaten Ryo now and oh my god how easy he was.
I changed my M3 over to drift and wiped the floor with Ryo.
Thanks a bunch for all your advice guys.
Eclipsefreak028 12-07-2007, 08:19 AM I beat him with a supra. Its took me a few tries. So i said screw it and i didnt let off the gas one time. Its best to have a nitrous drift, a speed bonus and a stayed on track bonus, as well as a long drift around the entire course.
Ryo is WEAK.
demoman_chaos 12-07-2007, 02:36 PM I used my Corrolla to get the Drift King's RX-7. I used to baet beat Ryo somewhat easily. The first drift tack whipped me, but I got him after a few tries. I beat him in the sector shootout with my Zonda (which is suprising beacuse of its critical handicap). The second drift was no trouble at all and I just have to do the last grip race to become Street King (I had to do something important, so I saved and will continue tonight).
WillsSinclair 12-16-2007, 12:30 AM i use a z4 m and im fine with it. I haven't tried to beat any of the kings but i usually get around 5500-4500. is that good enough to beat ryo?
Evo X 12-16-2007, 10:24 AM Get the RX-7!! The GTO is pure CRAP!
888Enzo 12-23-2007, 01:04 AM If you are trying to beat RYO The"Showdown King" it will be sooooo easy cause i have pagani1209 hp 871 Hp viper try these cars (not bragging)
No.Mans.Land 12-23-2007, 05:38 AM the way to beat ryo on speed challenges is that yoo can have a slow car because he goes really slow just stay behind him so you don't total then when you are 1 mile away from finishing the race pulll ahead of him
no track record though
Evo X 12-23-2007, 05:43 AM just stay next to him and push him out of the road he'll be totaled !! that's what I did!
No.Mans.Land 12-23-2007, 05:58 AM nice i usually total when i try to do that
my hoood of my lambo flies off even when i do not hit anything
