I got yet ANOTHER vehicle.

This time something thats fun. Only really have one decent picture of it for now. I'll snap some more tomorrow or something.

98 ZJ
3.5" lift
Fulltime 4wd
BRAND NEW BFG Mud Terrains
It's the Limited edition, so its basically got every option my truck had...heated/power seats and shit.

Drove to Northern/Central PA to get it this morning...came with a SLEW of parts (brand new radiator, axles, drive shafts, skid plates, the stock wheels with 31" A/Ts on them, and the original green bumper cover)

Good looking color.

I was thinking about actually just getting the ecode headlights so I can see at night, and then having a friend of mine make a bumper up for like 200 bucks...**** spending 5-700 on one.

Also's already got the 8.8 Ford rear. I'll have some more pictures soon, like I said...just gotta get used to it. Might clean it up before inspection, though. It's already got some mud on it.

New pics from a Thanksgiving Wheeling trip.

Quoted from a local forum:

MercCoug and GE-off met up with me and my girl to do some holiday wheeling. Fun couple hours, here's the pics of Geoff's new rig (for the record, Jimmy has MUCH better pictures):

...and the getaway LOL

Video of the mudhole after we washed half the water away:

Awesome pics. I don't know much about offroading, but it looked good in that video.

**** you and your BFG M/T KM2's

It's okay...atleast you know that I cant afford to replace them hahaha.

Picked up a nail the other day, saw it while washing the truck....was like omfgwtfhax. Touched it, and the ***** fell right out. God damn roofing nails and their big heads...thank god for 90 million ply sidewall tires though.

Alternator SEIZED.

Replaced it tho...all is well. Also took out my rear sway bar. Next thing I need to replace would be the clutch fan, the 'clutch' no longer functions.

Broke more shit:

Fixed it today though, going to eventually order new shocks front and rear to accomodate for a larger lift.

Ripped off my bumper last night...caught a tree when backing up to pull my friend out. Ah me an excuse to have one friend feels bad so he's doing it for free, all I've gotta pay for is the materials. SCORE.

Also, that mud/dirt was CAKED on there pretty good. Couldn't see out of the side mirrors as both were covered, the headlights were useless, and I busted out a corner light (you can see it on the drivers side) hitting cones on the highway lol

Built some rock sliders for this the other day, need to paint them, even though I already have them mounted on the truck. Figured I'd may as well protect whats left of the bottom of the jeep.

Worked great, tested them out 2 nights ago. Bent the passenger side though, as there was a gap(and I launched the front end 3 feet straight up in the air and it came down on that side)

Passenger side brake caliper seized on me after putting the rock sliders on, so it sat for a while..rotor was GLOWING orange, and I changed the rear diff fluid just because.

Apparently the seal wasnt good enough cause there was 2qts of fluid on the ground haha. Fixed it though, the RTV I had wasnt good even though it was brand new.

I'll get pics in the morning/afternoon depending on how busy I am.

Looks like its time to replace the bottom end. :(

Going to change the oil to verify first, but oil pressure = resting on 0psi at idle, occasionally 40psi at 50mph. Also a slight knock at startup and idle.

Oil looked pretty thin so I think I took on some water going thru a mud hole.

Its what I bought it for ;)

The money I would've liked to use for a new transfer case might have to go to this:

howd you make that mess then???

03-04-2009, 12:47 PM
Holy jebus. So will your friend make a rear bumper as well?

03-04-2009, 03:19 PM
Someone hit me while it was parked at a friends house....and then took off.

I guess they thought hitting a big jeep would be better than a curb? Who knows. I don't have the money to fix it right yet, as you can tell by the red lens tape thats on the tail light for now.

Found out while heading home from a friends house (where I have to take the interstate to get home) that I no longer had brakes.

Got home eventually and found this:

Top: What it SHOULD look like.
Bottom: Not so much.

There was no grinding what so ever, just one day the pedal went to the floor. Replaced the pads on the front, and aswell as the caliper on the passenger side since that was shot and was the reason it was going to the floor, was just letting fluid spew out everywhere.

lmfao its like fighting a fire, your fighting the damage and not making progress lol

Small update... the motor is completely shot now. Picked up a 5.9L from a Dakota R/T; Grand Cherokee Limited 5.9 for 200 bucks. In the process of getting parts together to rebuild it and then going to throw it in before to much longer hopefully.

09-16-2009, 05:38 AM
Sucks man. Can't wait to see that 5.9 in there though, that shit should haul ***.

Looks better without that front bumper anyways. Like I said get some guards.
