"Tammy" 2007 Ford Edge SEL.

Traded in a first-generation Lincoln Navigator for this. Better looks, better interior, better performance, and better petrol economy.

She only have about 15,000 miles, so she runs great. :) No interior damage. No exterior damage, except for the time when I smashed the right rear view mirror against a pole. It is now fixed though.

My favourite part of the car is the vista roof. Nice open roof for my friends and I to gaze out into space from inside of the car. ;)

No GPS or touch-screen though, because it was too expensive to get that option. So it does not have that. :( But hey, at least there are clad-chrome rims and fog lights. So at least it is not that standard.

She's pretty much stock. The only add-ons are the water-proof floor mats.

One thing that kills me about this car though. The damn front license plate! It looks so ugly! But I have to put that on because it is mandatory. So stupid...

But overall, she's been great to me. Never broke down. Not even once. :D

Questions? Feel free to ask!

That's a very nice car there, she looks pretty clean!

A couple of questions: Is it an AWD version? And, what camera are you using? (I always seem to ask that, lol).

Nice car. I'm with Imprezzive, I really like that shot. I'm also curious, like Killua, to know what camera you have.

Reply to Killua:
Thanks. Speaking of clean, I actually just washed her just to take pictures of her. I like her nice and clean. :D

This is actually the FWD version. I have no need for the AWD. It is both more expensive and take slightly more petrol per mile.

Reply to Killua and Canada_Kid:
I use a Kodak Z712 IS. I use my tripod to take all the pictures actually. Since it is dark outside, I set the camera on slow shutter speeds from 1.5 seconds to 2 seconds, and 4 to 6 seconds on the interior all with f 2.8 aperture, so a tripod is necessary.

I'm not a professional photographer. I'm just an amateur. I just know the basic knowledge to take good dark pictures.

Congrats on the acquisition and good choice in paint.

About the front license plate, by mandatory, do you mean having a front plate or its position on the bumper?

Reply for RedTwentyFour:
That's a reflection of the background from the wet ground. I just washed her, that's why the ground is wet.

Reply for 3ni2nr:
The front license plate is mandatory. The position does not matter as long as there is a front license plate. Bottom line is ANY front license plates on ANY car looks horrible in my opinion.

Yeah... Though you got to love the states/provinces that don't require such plates.

So seeing that it is not mandatory to have the plate in its current position... Perhaps mounting it a bit lower with a custom mount? Could at least make the white paint on the bumper look a bit nicer. Can be done... It's up to you.

Reply to 3ni2nr:

The state of California used to require only one license plate. Either front or back. I always like to put one license plate. One in the front bottom right and no plate in the back. It makes my car looks clean and people will focus on my cars and not the plates.

But somehow the state now require both front AND rear plates, which sucks in my opinion.

If I would change the position of the front license plates, it will show the pre-drilled holes to mount the plates. The dealer put them on there, not me. But say IF the dealer haven't put them on, they will be very low on the side, away from the middle. Now people going to look at the front plates because it stands out... :(

But thanks for the suggestion.

UPDATE!!!

January 24th, 2009

She just got Ravelco and Lo-Jack installed!

Ravelco is a special security addition that prevent hotwiring by making all cable coloured BLACK so no one can know which cable to hotwire. Also, there is a secondary key to start the car. The original key itself will NOT work to start the car without the secondary key.

Lo-Jack is a satellite controlled security system. If a thief decided to tow the car away to figure it out somewhere else to hotwire it, the Lo-Jack will alert the satellite that its been stolen. After the signal is sent, it will be sent back to the police station so the police can track it down. If it is not retrieved by a certain amounts of days, it will be considered lost and Lo-Jack will replace the car.

So don't even try to steal Tammy. Because you know you're screwed by the moment you even THINK of stealing her.

Not to burst your bubble man, but I know of cars being stolen that have both of those features. They're called tow trucks. The good thing about that, is it keeps the amateurs from jacking your shit.

I got a favor to ask. Can you measure the size of your grille for me? lol I want to swap the Mach 3 grille on a Crown Vic but need to know if it will fit first. All I need is the overall width and height.
