34 MPG...

...DAMN YOU!

Compulsory: Needs moar JDM.

Looks great, though, despite the fact that's not the actual one. Colour looks great too; I don't think I've ever seen a BE/BH Legacy in dark blue.

Find yourself a set of the wheel covers from the 02-03 Impreza TS. Those wheel covers look decent, to say the least.

Ugh.

The EJ251 isn't the 2nd/3rd gen Legacy's strongest suit.

Curious: Why the dealer, though?

nobody else offered 1 yr/unlimited miles warranty on engine. only 90 days. the lowest estimate I got at other shops, was $1249. I'd rather spend the extra 300 bucks and have a warranty!

Here is the wheel covers im thinking about buying for the subaru. Wheel covers because no money for actual rims.

New wheel covers set of 4 cost only $22.88 at Walmart.

The one of the left is the new wheel cover (obviously), and the one on the right is the originas. They actually look quite a bit like the original.

What do you all think?

Don't bother with the Wal-Mart wheel covers. They look tacky, especially because they're way too shiny. Keep the steel wheels as they are.

me too. Infact, if you get chance take the tryes off and spray paint the outside of the rim white.

If you take your time and do it right, you will be surprised how good they can look.

Well, the boss, err wife, has spoken..

Steel wheels must go, at least be covered. Right now the originals are on so she feels better driving it (why, idk).

No money for RIMS, so wheel covers need to be purchased.

I talked about painting them, I've painted them once, black.

I figure married people here will 100% understand where I'm coming from..

These (http://www.autozone.com/autozone/accessories/Exterior/Wheel-Cover-Hub-Cap/_/N-25d6?aqs=4294924058) are also available. 15" only. if you see one you think will look good on my hunk of junk, enlarge the image, and take a screenshot, and post it.

Make your URL more visible. I couldn't figure out what the heck you were talking about until I attempted to post, and I thought it was a non-visible image. :P

Wow, a lot of those covers look better than the ones you posted at first. Specifically, either of these -
idea number 1 (http://www.autozone.com/autozone/accessories/AutoSmart-15-in-ice-black-chrome-wheel-cover/_/N-25d6?aqs=4294924058&counter=5&itemIdentifier=83220_0_0_) - $40
idea number 2 (http://www.autozone.com/autozone/accessories/AutoSmart-4-pcs-15-in-chrome-14-spokes-and-5-lugs-wheel-cover/_/N-25d6?aqs=4294924058&counter=6&itemIdentifier=748176_0_0_) - $35
idea number 3 (http://www.autozone.com/autozone/accessories/AutoSmart-4-pcs-15-in-silver-9-spokes-wheel-cover/_/N-25d6?aqs=4294924058&counter=1&itemIdentifier=748179_0_0_) - $20
...would work, because none of them are the super-common types that you see on old Corollas and Geo Metros and whatever, and because all of those look fairly nice. However, I did a pricing search them at my zipcode, and two of them were more expensive than the ones you posted before.

However, I'm sort of surprised that it's so difficult to find even something like Subaru WRX stock wheels anywhere. I did a Google search for "Subaru WRX stock wheels" and found some guy selling a set of four for $200. That's pretty expensive relative to just getting wheel covers, but that still doesn't even approach what you'd pay for even one aftermarket wheel - someone else was selling a set of TWO Volk TE37s for about $750.

Then again, the guy selling the WRX wheels probably wasn't including any tires or anything, which would mean that you'd have to pay more than $200. I can see what you mean about wheels being expensive :\

Maybe wait until the tires wear out on the car and you have to buy a new set anyway. :P

How the heck did you kill it?

it killed itself...its got 190k miles on it. it needs a ton more engine work, suspension work, drivetrain work, etc. it was going to cost about 2k to fix it. so i put $500 down and the car for trade and got into the trailblazer...a REALLY good trade, the blazer is almost brand new inside and out
