View Full Version : TVR Tuscan
Jon 944S2 07-26-2009, 12:44 PM I know the proof required has to be a piece of paper over the gear shift but I have a real problem with writing (i.e almost impossible to read but I will try if people really want that) and I'm very self concious of it so if you don't mind I'll just post up a picture of me by the car. I think that's enough proof as you wouldn't want to own up to looking like me lol.
I apologise for not being online for a while I've been very busy of late and had not much spare time, all spare time involve drving or cleaning the car. I also apologise for the quality of the photos they were taken on my iPhone as I have mislaid my D300.

I see the 944's RR quarter in the second picture, so ;l
Jon 944S2 07-26-2009, 03:18 PM The 944 was sold in February sadly. That there is my neighbours really crappy Volvo 240, which is in appalling state and hasn't moved for 2 weeks. I suspect that once the tax runs out at the end of this week it will continue to sit outside their garage in the awkward position it's in.
and.... what happened to your garage door? :P
Jon 944S2 07-26-2009, 03:44 PM and.... what happened to your garage door? :P
Previous neighbours reversed a bus into it which is real nice of them and no one will pay up :(
Previous neighbours reversed a bus into it which is real nice of them and no one will pay up :(
Hell naw, you better sue their asses! that isn't right? if suing doesn't work, drive a bus into their garage for brotherly payback.
Btw how much was the Tuscan? I've been eying the Sagaris for some time :l
Volvo 240 isent crappy!
Oh nice TVR you got. :P
DJMantis 07-26-2009, 09:17 PM Jon 944S2 no longer owns a Porsche 944S2?
:o
Nice Tuscan. My personal preference is the Tuscan 2, but who's complaining? 8)
Jon 944S2 07-27-2009, 03:01 AM The Tuscan cost me just under £15,000 and I think the Sagaris is between £30,000 and £50,000 but they do look awesome though.
that Volvo 240 is crappy, it's the 1st one I've seen that has bits falling off it and interesting mould growing on and inside it also appears to have a bit of an oil leak too.
Nope I no longer have the Porsche I got a little bored with it, so I sold it and started to save for a 996 turbo at 1st, then changed my mind several times and ended up with the Tuscan possibly the most interesting car of all my choices.
I've always preferred the look of the Tuscan over the Tuscan 2 not sure on the lights of the 2.
Dr.DooM 07-27-2009, 11:46 AM i'll see you going backwards through the gates of heaven in a ball of fire soon then yeah?
nah very nice car, im pretty jealous!
Jon 944S2 07-27-2009, 12:07 PM Hope not, but judging by the wet weather handling which is at best dubious it may well be true.
There's no need to be jealous everyone has/ will achieve something that someone else will be jealous of at some point in there life, I'm just trying to get some of the things I've dreamed of owning whilst I can afford it.
The car has currently got an EFI fault coming up on the dash so I'll hopefully find out what it is tomorrow when it goes in for service and possible decat.
Sander 07-27-2009, 01:25 PM Finally, some new pics of the Tuscan :P
Great car Jon, I'm jealous :D
Jon 944S2 07-27-2009, 01:47 PM I'm on holiday this week from work so hopefully I can take some more pictures soon.

10.000 internets for you sir for the top gear quote.

be sure to check the brake pads/lines, on TVR's those are the most used itens for some unknown reason :P. If you have time later, plan a upgrade on them, better be safe than sorry...
Now if we're gonna pull out Top Gear quotes ;l
"owning a TVR in the past was like owning a bear, it was nice till it pulled your head off... and one day it would"
XD
Jon 944S2 07-28-2009, 02:12 AM One of those Top Gear quotes I believe is for the Koenigsegg and the other the Sagaris I believe, how sad is that I know what cars the quotes come from?
I'm planning on getting the Alcon 6 pots for them and upgrade the suspension to Nitrons but that will depend on whether or not I want to keep it I've had a couple of ideas for the next car already but I'm in no hurry.
that Volvo 240 is crappy, it's the 1st one I've seen that has bits falling off it and interesting mould growing on and inside it also appears to have a bit of an oil leak too.
BUT!
It works. ;)
One of those Top Gear quotes I believe is for the Koenigsegg and the other the Sagaris I believe, how sad is that I know what cars the quotes come from?.
Yes mine was from the Sagaris review, and it's not sad cause we know them too ;l
Jon 944S2 07-28-2009, 04:52 AM BUT!
It works. ;)
Actually I have my doubts about that, it's disappeared now and there is a huge puddle of oil left on the drive where it used to be.
Yes mine was from the Sagaris review, and it's not sad cause we know them too ;l
That's OK then that means for once I'm not sad then :D
Dr.DooM 07-28-2009, 10:58 AM the quote i used was from the Koenigsegg, however it does apply for the TVR too. But like with any car, so long as you drive it steadily, then its not goin to hurt you.
TheCarTester 07-28-2009, 11:40 AM how many horses:D?
NICE car!

You're right it does apply very well to the TVR and I think it will hurt me even if I'm sensible with it in the wet it was trying to get the tail out around a roundabout at a mere 15MPH with a light throttle, was good fun though.
It's in Red Rose spec so the full 400 Horses 0-60 3.8 seconds, 0-100 8.3 seconds and top speed 196MPH (I certainly wouldn't like to find that out though)

lol thats why Clarkson said every TVR he has ever driven has scared the hell out of him XD
Yes mine was from the Sagaris review, and it's not sad cause we know them too ;l
I watch the show religiously and I have no idea wtf you guy are on about lol
Nice car there. Can we have some proof now? I mean come on, it's a ****ing TVR...
Jon 944S2 07-28-2009, 05:59 PM Nice car there. Can we have some proof now? I mean come on, it's a ****ing TVR...
I will try my best when I get my car back from it's expensive service tomorrow (needed a little more work doing to it than I thought) Does the writing have to be readable? because I can't really write very well, bit of a retard apparently I've been informed. :(

Retarded writing will do just fine, I am a retarded person myself.
Jon 944S2 07-28-2009, 06:18 PM OK will get it done when I collect it, I suppose it'll be later on today it being 1:17 in the morning here (hardcore me lol)

Educate yourself http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbO_CaGJXZ4
That hardly passes as "education"...
You both are lame k..so STFU.
lol That was a good ol' episode. Although I would only own a TVR for its looks. Not for it's performance. yes, I know; I fail...but fuwk you. lol
MuscleCarFreak 07-28-2009, 09:33 PM Although I would only own a TVR for its looks. Not for it's performance. yes, I know; I fail...but fuwk you. lol
LOL... thats the opposite of what I think... Performance would be the only reason to want it, because Im not ok with the looks at all... just my opinion... As for owning the TVR altogether. Good job. It's not everyday a young man gets his hands on something so special.
Jon 944S2 07-29-2009, 04:25 AM I've got the car for both reasons looks and performance plus the noise it makes which is awesome I'll post a video up when I get around to making one for all to hear.
There are people around here who would think it's a blessing that youngsters don't get their filthy mits on something so special. I've had several people saying 'you do realise we're in a recession?' etc. I just respond by saying 'really? I've been living elsewhere for a while'
Mach_5 07-29-2009, 05:27 AM *HOT* I'm getting jealous!! LOL Too bad it wasn't a Sagaris.
Jon 944S2 07-29-2009, 10:21 AM Looks like I'm not getting the car back today :'( so now I've got to wait until I have transport available to go get my car.
Civic_Undercover 07-29-2009, 11:48 PM Holy crap, 196 mph top speed and 0-60 in 3.8 seconds!? Autobahn or GTFO. That will be its proving ground. Have fun with it Jon, it's got power on demand when you need it!
Jon 944S2 07-30-2009, 10:24 AM I would love to take it on an Autobahn one day that would be great fun.
I'm getting it back tomorrow can't wait, although the weather outlook isn't so great though, no surprises there then.
Saw a really nice 1967 Mustang Fastback the other day and I'm thinking of getting one, anybody here know much about them?
I had a 68 California Coupe, was a piece of junk. Parts were impossible to find and expensive as hell. Course that is just my experience from owning one :\
Imo the only good mustangs were ones tuned by Shelby.
Jon 944S2 07-30-2009, 04:26 PM Oh well it'll be just like TVR and porsche ownership except that the parts are more difficult to find. I guess they're more reliable than a TVR though.
Not in my experience. I had a 78 911 Turbo that gave me no problems at all. My Cougar has required much work and it a pain in the *** most of the time.
Jon 944S2 07-30-2009, 05:10 PM The Porsche I had was very well built as they all are and reliable so I can imagine a 911 turbo would be too, do you have any pictures of the turbo that's my favourite Porsche. So a Mustang will be as unreliable and expensive to run as a TVR, but the parts are more difficult to get and it's not as quick as a TVR, but just as rare and interesting over here so that sounds good to me.
Jon 944S2 10-18-2009, 03:17 AM Hi all I had a bit of a moment yesterday when taking the car in for the engine rebulid, I lost control, spun into a curb backwards, then proceeded to go in the air through a hedge, land on its side and go along like that for about 200 yards before coming to rest on its wheels in a field. It's not too bad looking at it bodywork wise but I don't know mechanically yet.

Jeez that sucks man, hopefully it isnt that bad :l
TheCarTester 10-18-2009, 06:14 AM that just hurts
Jon 944S2 10-18-2009, 06:56 AM Ill find out on Monday the extent of the damage. It does hurt now I've got aches all over today.
Dr.DooM 10-18-2009, 07:18 AM i'll see you going backwards through the gates of heaven in a ball of fire soon then yeah?
nah very nice car, im pretty jealous!
oops, sorry
:|
it doesn't look to bad though matey!
Jon 944S2 10-18-2009, 08:42 AM It certainly could have been worse, I was lucky I had a soft landing, did lose 2 pairs of sunglasses though sadly.
Sander 10-18-2009, 08:44 AM :(
Hope there's no structural damage :(
Primus 10-18-2009, 09:38 AM Ya, can't say I didn't expect this. TVRs do that sometimes to their owners. But hey, at least you're OK and I hope the damage isn't too extensive.
Dr.DooM 10-18-2009, 09:58 AM yeah for sure, i'm glad your okay, and apart from some new alloys and maybe a couple of panels that car looks like its going to be fine :)
Jon 944S2 10-18-2009, 11:05 AM I don't think the damage is too bad and they reckon the chassis is probably not too bad.
The crash certainly looked more impressive than the damage suffered.
Mr. Sting Ray 10-18-2009, 12:54 PM That set of rims is trashed.
TwinTurboGTR 10-18-2009, 02:13 PM Hot damn boy.
That must of been pretty scary.
At least it looked nice at the car show!
Jon 944S2 10-18-2009, 03:09 PM The rims are certainly in bad shape worse after being towed out of the field by a tractor.
It wasn't a car show as such more a giant convoy 94 cars meeting up to have a chat and banter at cheddar gorge then some of us went to an American car show afterwards where we came in use supplying a Roush Mustang, Ford GT, 2 Vipers and the loudest 'Vette in the Southwest of England. That was about a month ago was great fun.
Jon 944S2 10-19-2009, 01:22 PM The car needs lot of money spending on it now, new chassis, suspension components, bodywork and still needs an engine rebuild. I reckon the insurance company will write it off.
Primus 10-19-2009, 01:26 PM The car needs lot of money spending on it now, new chassis, suspension components, bodywork and still needs an engine rebuild. I reckon the insurance company will write it off.
:(.
I reckon it's time for another Porsche, my friend. Or may I suggest my post University goal: a Ferrari 348 GTS.
Jon 944S2 10-19-2009, 02:11 PM Went and had a look at a 355 Ferrari but it just isn't raw enough I'll probably buy another Tuscan I loved it that much, no other car can offer thrills on that sort of level.
Ricochet 10-19-2009, 11:06 PM The crash certainly looked more impressive than the damage suffered.
Sure does, after reading your description of the accident I was thinking of seeing a WreckedExotics like car :P
Good thing you're OK, and the car not in bad shape as well ;).
Zpectre 10-19-2009, 11:54 PM The car needs lot of money spending on it now, new chassis, suspension components, bodywork and still needs an engine rebuild. I reckon the insurance company will write it off.
Ouch.
Why don't you go the Bavarian way, as in...
BMW M3 E36!
Way cheaper than everything else you're considering and offers just about the same thrill, while still being practical enough to go to work with.
(Oh and as a matter of fact if you want to go German this is about the only car I believe would suit you, not counting Porsches)
Though, one thing is certain, a TVR is a TVR, you can't replace those cars when it comes to rawness...
Allure 10-20-2009, 05:18 AM Ouch, sorry to hear that mate...
TVRs are so damn awesome though, so no wonder you'd buy another one.
Ricochet 10-20-2009, 06:38 AM Any chance you could record the sound of the car on camera while its revving? It'd be a beast to hear I'm sure ;)
Jon 944S2 10-20-2009, 06:55 AM I don't think that'll be likely as it won't start.
The car is going go be written off I think as the chassis is almost £11k to replace.
I work at a BMW dealer and don't find the M3 all that appealing, it's a good car but it just doesn't excite me enough to tempt me.
I'm on the hunt for another Tuscan now as I enjoyed it that much despite driver error almost killing me.
Tubaman 10-20-2009, 07:18 AM dang that sucks...good to see you came through alright :)
Allure 10-20-2009, 07:27 AM ...and don't find the M3 all that appealing, it's a good car but it just doesn't excite me enough to tempt me.

Yeah, I agree on the M3 too.
Good hunting. :)
Ricochet 10-20-2009, 07:43 AM Well you're comparing a sport-luxury-sedan to a pure raw sports car, I think it depends on what you want after all, so yeah :P
Allure 10-20-2009, 10:35 AM Well you're comparing a sport-luxury-sedan to a pure raw sports car, I think it depends on what you want after all, so yeah :P
Yeah, they're different but still the same.
Personally, I'm a fan of the TVR, especially the Sagaris and Cerbera Speed 12.
Zpectre 10-20-2009, 11:06 AM I don't think that'll be likely as it won't start.

Well I guess you're going for an exotic then so BMW isn't an option... And it's a good thing they don't force you to drive one... :)
Think of the bright side... At least the car died doing what it was built for. It's been written off but in style! :D
Good luck with the new Tuscan. :)
Dr.DooM 10-20-2009, 11:41 AM thats a shame, i am surprised it needed a new chassis, but then again, i havent seen it in the "skin"
might i suggest perhaps a lotus or an atom or something bonkers like that? feel just as fast, most likely be more reliable, and cheaper to run?
Jon 944S2 10-20-2009, 04:04 PM I'll still go for a Tuscan I think I did really enjoy it.
It did go impressively the witnesses thought I was a gonna.
My boss does keep telling me to get an E46 M3 but it is a bit plain looking for me although I do like the CSL.
M3s are overrated, if you want another TVR then get one ;p
Speed911 10-20-2009, 11:45 PM How 'bout a Jeep Jon? No but seriously, why not a newer, higher end Porsche like you had?
KV12supercharged 10-21-2009, 01:03 AM Definetly set another TVR, it's such a beautiful car! How about a TVR Sagaris?
couple of good choices here...
http://www.pistonheads.com/SALES/list.asp?s=349
Believe he said he couldnt afford the Sagaris.
Allure 10-21-2009, 04:04 AM Sagaris is epic, but If you don't have the money for that much, a Tuscan is also a win.;)
Mr. Sting Ray 10-21-2009, 08:41 AM Meh, everybody keeps saying Tuscan or Sagaris, find a Cerbera.
Jon 944S2 10-21-2009, 09:08 AM I want something where the roof can come out so a Tuscan is what I want, but a Sagaris and a V8 Cerbera are awesome cars.
To be fair the M3 isn't overrated but it isn't hardcore enough.
3,4 CKandy 10-21-2009, 09:36 AM To be fair the M3 isn't overrated but it isn't hardcore enough.
And since apparently you're not hardcore enough to drive a Sagaris then maybe an M3 is the perfect match for you. :P

Only the CSL but that must be too expensive.

A Sagaris is the best handling TVR made so I could just about cope with it I like the attention TVRs get they don't get any negative attention and always keep you on your toes driving it plus the noise they make is epic.
The CSLs are starting to become reasonable now.
Killua 10-21-2009, 06:34 PM How about a Porsche 911 (993)?
The sound (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uMgrGxgLqG0) is addictive.
TwinTurboGTR 10-21-2009, 07:01 PM I just noticed: What is it with NFSCars members and crashing? It has been the gentlemen with the "fast" cars that have been crashing. First Kracka (GTO), then T3ku (300ZX), now Jon (TVR Tuscan)!
I ain't hating on anyone, I'm just making an observation.
ON TOPIC: Jon, before it all went downhill, did you have any plans for the car? Any modifications you wanted to do to it? I'm just curious.
The more power you have, the easier it is to lose control of it.
The lower the car is, the less people see you.
While you can lose control of any vehicle, adding power makes it easier. Height is another, no one looks for motorcycles because of how small they are, well they also dont look for sportscars.

One of the things I really love about the Sagaris is the handling was set up by the guy that made the Noble which is probably the best handling car in the world outside of a Lotus.
I had thought about buying a Noble M400 for ages until I decided it was just too expensive for me at the moment. Believe it was 91k for the chassis plus another 10-30k for the engine.
Either way a TVR is a TVR, great looks, sound, and performance.
TruePro 10-21-2009, 08:06 PM Nice car man, very attractive indeed.
Mr. Sting Ray 10-21-2009, 09:22 PM How about a Porsche 911 (993)?
The sound (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uMgrGxgLqG0) is addictive.
Yeah, I've gotten the chance to drive an older 911. They'll bite you in the *** if you don't respect them. Tail happy at their limits.
Primus 10-21-2009, 09:34 PM Yeah, I've gotten the chance to drive an older 911. They'll bite you in the *** if you don't respect them. Tail happy at their limits.
This.
Jon, as much as I love yours and TVRs in general, there is absolutely NOTHING on this planet more frightening then a first generation 911 Turbo. Especially a 3.3L.
Think about it :P.
Jon 944S2 10-22-2009, 03:46 AM I was considering a Noble but I don't find the sound it makes very inspiring, looks the nuts though.
I was considering upgrading the suspension and brakes also the engine too, but only for more noise.
993 is nice and I would like a Turbo one but they're £50k+ over here.
Dr.DooM 10-22-2009, 11:40 AM i have rolled a car.... a bog standard ford fiesta, however i hit a rock in an attempt to miss a sheep. For a petrol head, not a very noble crash, but when you add the fact that i was doing 40 MPH and still managed to roll a car, i feel some credit is required :P
TruePro 10-22-2009, 01:23 PM Aw :( Sad to hear that. Hopefully it isn't that bad. I still like your car though.
Jon 944S2 10-22-2009, 02:25 PM That's quite an acheivement going that slow.
I think it is that bad it'll almost certainly be a write off so I'm already looking at Tuscans for sale, quite fancy the Tuscan S really.
Kracka 10-22-2009, 02:31 PM I just noticed: What is it with NFSCars members and crashing? It has been the gentlemen with the "fast" cars that have been crashing. First Kracka (GTO), then T3ku (300ZX), now Jon (TVR Tuscan)!

Mine had nothing to do with the power the car had. The first one was inattentive driving from the dumb**** that blew the red light and t-boned me, and the 2nd one was me backing off the throttle going over an icy over pass after watching a tractor trailer go sideways.
Jon 944S2 10-22-2009, 02:36 PM I'll admit mine was my own fault, driving too fast for the road, over twice the speed limit really.
Primus 10-22-2009, 02:38 PM I definitely approve of this:

I'll admit mine was my own fault, driving too fast for the road, over twice the speed limit really.
Shit happens, man. I blew up a 944; I know how you feel.
Jon 944S2 10-22-2009, 03:17 PM I prefer the look of a mk 1 Tuscan at the front but I do like that colour, flashy colours suit the Tuscan.
How did you manage to blow up a 944? My S2 was bullet proof and really good handling.
Allure 10-22-2009, 03:27 PM I definitely approve of this:

TVR + Pearlescent colors = WIN!

Technically, it didn't actually blow up; caught fire is more like it. Previous owner was a moron and JB welded the fuel rail instead of replacing it. After I purchased a new fuel rail and installed it, apparently a screw clamp was previously screwed too tight and dug into the hose. When I finished everything at 11PM, I didn't notice the slight tear in the hose material and after turning the car on, gas sprayed all over my headlamp motor. The rest is ashes. Surprisingly the car was still drivable, but too many parts had to be replaced and I got a write off. I put the insurance money in the bank, and I've been saving up for a 348.
But ya, that thing was a ****ing tank. I've never, in my life, driven a more solidly designed machine. Perfect for a first sports car.
AgentRoo 10-23-2009, 02:12 AM Jon, have you checked what your premium will be with a replacement TVR?
I'm guessing you'll be looking at a massive increase - I'm paying an extra £150 per annum just for a windscreen repair (minor chips - more like scratches from motorway driving).
Jon 944S2 10-23-2009, 03:44 AM The 944 did feel quite solid from a build quality point of view but they don't quite have the right sound for a sports car really.
I've had more quotes now than I did before for a replacement Tuscan which ranged from £32- £1,000 more than I'm paying right now so doesn't seem too bad at the moment, esspecially considering how much I was paying inthe first place.
Jeez you're paying as much as I am on my Z Jon :\
Jon 944S2 10-23-2009, 05:10 AM You're paying nearly £4k on a Z? Is that pounds or Dollars seems a but steep for a Z.
Ricochet 10-23-2009, 07:41 AM You're pretty concerned for the sound are you :P
Jon 944S2 10-23-2009, 07:55 AM Oh yeah! I didn't realise how much it can make a difference having a car that sounds nice can make until I started driving interesting cars.

never a good thing to admit publicly unless you want the gestapo to slap you with points and a ban...
but i know what you meant to say
"you were doing 60 in a NSL, which is twice the speed limit in town that you are used to driving..... "

Fair point although the Police officer decided nothing more needed doing as I hadn't harmed anyone got a big bill to pay and in general learned my lesson, he's not wrong either.
That's good of the officer to do that, good to see he used his judgement. Harsh lesson to learn though.
saying that if you were driving a max power saxo i doubt you'd be as lucky lol.
Jon 944S2 10-28-2009, 04:37 AM A very harsh lesson to learn indeed, I don't normally like driving fast anyway so I'm not sure why I done that.
I suspect I would have got a proper raping if I was in a Lax power Saxo.
AgentRoo 10-29-2009, 12:05 AM I was thinking the same thing really - if they had pressed charges you'd have been in a bigger world of hurt.
(For the non-brits, if they could prove that Jon was travelling at double the limit, that's an automatic loss of license and a whopping increase in insurance.)
Thank goodness the bobby "looked the other way".
Jon 944S2 11-02-2009, 02:11 PM Well it is official the car is a Catagory B write off which means that sadly it is has to be scrapped so that is one less TVR in the world.
Ricochet 11-02-2009, 09:59 PM That sucks man :(
Jon 944S2 11-07-2009, 04:36 PM Insurance are paying out a decent sum basically what I paid for so that is all good.
Awesome news Jon ^_^
Putting towards another Tuscan?
Jon 944S2 11-08-2009, 12:16 AM Hopefully towards another Tuscan or possibly an Exige, Tuscan is top choice though at the moment.
Dr.DooM 11-08-2009, 12:58 PM noble!!
(filler)
Sander 11-08-2009, 01:52 PM That's finally some good news. Looking forward to your next ride. Either a Tuscan or an Exige, can't go wrong with either of them if you ask me :D
A TVR or one of the best handling cars in the world....mmm toughy
Jon 944S2 11-09-2009, 03:33 AM So that'll be a TVR then.
3,4 CKandy 11-09-2009, 07:59 AM A TVR or one of the best handling cars in the world....mmm toughy
Yes and no. An SUV is a car with bad handling. A TVR is a car with difficult handling; in the right hands, (as in "not mine") a TVR is most certainly one of the best handling cars in the world.

He was merely referring to the Lotus as one of the best handling cars in the world... sigh.

"One of" implicitly states that there is more than one... fart.
The Noble being the other.
Jon 944S2 11-09-2009, 03:03 PM Lotus, Noble, RS Porsches and Mclaren F1
I am curious how the Sagaris would compare to the Noble, since Noble set it up... hrmm >_>
Didn't think of Mclaren lawl

Kids these days...:)
Jon 944S2 11-09-2009, 03:14 PM Sagaris is meant to be awesome handling and straight line
Jon 944S2 12-11-2009, 05:19 AM Just to let everyone know I've now got a bright orange TVR Tamora and I'll post some pictures when I get the chance to take some in the daylight with nice weather. it's awesome with possibly the loudest exhaust i've heard for a long time.

This I approve!
with possibly the loudest exhaust i've heard for a long time.
..... have you not had pop into you're local tesco/asda/morrisons recently in the evening, can't miss the tools and their corsa/saxo/1.5l civics razzing about with their "performance" exhausts.
I'd have said mcdonalds.. but you dont seem to be the type to hang out in their car parks :P
on a serious not, good choice.
I had a look at them recently when one of my mates was on the hunt for a fun car... i do like them in the burgundy red.
Jon 944S2 12-11-2009, 06:02 AM Its louder than any of the fart zorsts on hatchbacks, better sounding too. My parents can here me coming back home on the dual carriageway about a mile or 2 up the road. It is good fun with plenty of pops and bangs on the overrun too, seems to hold the road better than the Tuscan too and feels quicker.
Sander 12-11-2009, 01:30 PM Good choice, I love it as it's a reasonably small car but still had a lot of power in true TVR style!
Looking forward to some pictures of the beast :D
Killua 12-11-2009, 01:35 PM Yeah, how about you get some videos too? :P
Lovely choice, the Tamora is a sweet car.
Ricochet 12-11-2009, 10:23 PM The Tamora has some very sweet lines. Good choice ;)

I demand pics!
and ya a 'proper' exhaust will drown out those soup cans and sound oh so much better, mmmm...
I really would love to see a video of you driving it, incar ;p
Jon 944S2 12-13-2009, 05:24 PM Here's a taster for you lot, will sort out more pictures during the week

Sander 12-14-2009, 01:34 AM That's one good looking car! Excellent color too!
Ricochet 12-14-2009, 03:09 AM TVRs are amazing. Always.
I love that rear.
Zpectre 12-14-2009, 05:45 AM You, sir, own a very nice car.
Jon 944S2 12-14-2009, 05:54 AM Thanks for all the nice comments everyone, it's very much an aquired taste so I'm surprised no one has said they don't like it yet. It gets so much more attention than the Tuscan but that's not surprising due to being able to hear it before seeing it.
Tubaman 12-14-2009, 07:08 AM Holy crap, Love'n the color8)

This^
Cant tell you how many times I've gone to a place regularly and they tell me they can hear me coming blocks away. It is rather gratifying ;p
