This is my 1980 Ford Landau. Basically, it’s a ’67 Galaxie sold in brazillian market for years (from ’68 to ’83), getting a face-lift in 1976. At the time, this car was the most luxurious car Ford offered on our market.
With a “Lincoln-based” finishment (Landau only - check it’s logo), this car got a 5.0l 302 Ford V8 engine with a C4 automatic 3-speed transmission that delivery only 199 cv SAE @ 4.600 rpm and 40 m.kgf of torque @ 2.400 rpm.
Weight about 1.900 – 2.000 kg.
My mainly intention with this car is just to keep it as much stock as I can, with minor restoration only. It’s almost always stored in my garage, runs like 20 km per year, so it’s not (and will never be) my daily ride. In the near future I intend to buy a 1976 LTD model known as “silver edition”, restore it and store, just wish me luck :P

There used to be a lot more of these on the road but they're getting rarer... The Dodge line (Dart/Dart SE/Charger) is even rarer. :(

After the Galaxie was phased out, Ford replaced it with a car called the Del Rey (based on the Corcel, which in turn was based on the old Renault 12), which is like half the size of the Landau. :D

I must say I still see a few Galaxies from time to time but it's been really long since I last saw a Del Rey.

@ Zpectre: A black collection license plate is planned, but first things first. There is some stuff I need to take care first, and since a black plate is expensive to get and takes a lot of bureaucracy, it's a long term plan.

Looks great. Good overall quality in-and-out. Galaxie's are some of my favorite classics.

I love it. When I was kid 80's Galaxie and Lincoln Continental were my dream cars. Today they are one of my favourites. Very nice car, take care of it.:)
