I'm thinking about buying undercover, but I have a question. I can run the demo of Pro Street on relatively low graphics settings without lag, but with the Shift demo, on the lowest graphics settings, the game crashes as soon as I start a race. Will Undercover run smoothly, or would it be a waste of $10?

Your 8400 probably in all likelyhood will not run undercover all that well since it is a budget card. I keep 1 of these around as a backup just incase my main card gors kaput. There are even times where my 9800gtx has trouble running undercover. Suggest you get a newer card and update your drivers and not neccessarily in that order.

It will run. I have lower specs than you & I can run Undercover rather smoothly on moderate graphic settings. I have 2GB RAM, Nvidia 6600 GT.

Your graphics card is a no-no. Besides I don't even think that Undercover is worth getting.

Seems pretty good to me, looks like most wanted, only better.

Whether it's worth it or not is your choice, but your pc should be able to handle it.

I have a 8400M GS, and it scored 2671 in 3DMark05.
The one you have, 8400 GS, scored 3530, which is roughly a third better than mine.
My GPU runs Undercover fine on low settings, so yours should be able to handle it just fine aswell.

The game... it's ok, although it gets a little too hard for me past the 50% mark. If you like challenging games, I'd say it's worth it. If you only like easy games, don't get it. Whatever you do, don't install patch 1.0.1.17 (or whatever it's called), it'll make the game near impossible.
If you like challenging games, and you can get it for for around $20, you should get it.

Seems pretty good to me, looks like most wanted, only better.
It's NOT better than Most Wanted.
It's worse on every front except for the customizing. Even that has a con: the customizing process is terrible. The game often freezes during rims and bodykit autosculpting, and applying vinyls is a disaster to do.

Actually, I can get it for $10. Btw, the main way it looks better than mw, it shouldn't have the weird lag that mw has on my pc.

It doesn't look that much better than MW, really. And, it has a weird framerate problem which makes it run unsmooth (although not that annoying in my experience). They fixed that in patch 1.0.1.17, but like I said that ruins the game by making it near impossible to play.

But still, if you can get it for $10, it's worth it to get it. Your hardware should cope fine.

Not really a problem, I tend to just mess around (ex. Finding out what happens when you hit a pickup @ 180mph), then when I get bored, I do afew races. And, mw is too easy in my opinion. Its all just a matter of whether or not it'l run well.

EDIT: Bought it, love it!!
