Yeah way to go, nominate a work-in-progress car "for the lulz" and to get no votes. Let him finish up his work dammit..

Kinda obvious who's the winner here, but I voted for Woodrow for its amazing gas mileage :D

Apparently, you dont get around much.

TVRs are monsters in everyway... Looks, performance, etc.

Why are you bashing Jon's car? Greatness /= aesthetic appeal. Have you even stepped foot in a TVR? Have you even been up close to one?

I'm sorry, but a person that drives a fugly Dodge truck has no business calling a TVR ugly. Is jealousy always the recourse of a weak mind? At least MCF has an idea of beauty, having owned a pretty nice ride; but you? Nah, man.

Leave greatness to the great and stick to your mediocrity.

WTF is wrong with this site? I never thought someone on a car site would praise the new Taurus for it's looks and bash a ****ing TVR cuz it's ugly. Your urine is not meant for drinking, people!

LOL... I do like the new SHO alot.

Though I do hate the looks of any TVR in everyway, I cant deny it's internal beauty.

TVRs, just like I said, are Monsters. Ugly in appearance, but untamed, raw, and unforgiving.... A TVR is the only type of car I have been 100% scared of to drive, and respect goes to those who drive them.

You wont see me in the driver seat of one of those things again.... Thats for sure

The front end looks quite ugly, how can you not see this, it looks like a catfish.

Seeing as the Car is quite rare in North America, its quite improbable that I have seen one in person let alone sit in one.
As for Raw power, great, it has to make up for its ugliness somehow. I wouldn't see why you'd be scared to drive it though MCF.

The car gets a lot of attention a lot of people absoloutly love it, but there are a few people who don't like it and I don't have a problem with that at all, I don't see why sinister has been berated for not liking it, he's hardly been abusive about it just voicing his opinion.
The car looks better in the flesh anyway and is very rare in this country so not many people have seen a Tamora anyway.
More pictures will be posted soon as I spent the whole of Sunday polishing and waxing it.

He is being berated because pointless bashing is rude and against the subforum's rules.

Think of it this way Sin...

TVR's behave alot like a Muscle Car with a tuned suspension, which would be right up my ally until you take in consideration it's size. I feel unsafe in such a small car.
It's wheelbase is alot smaller than the average Muscle Car, leaving less room for correcting mistakes.

Besides, We all know Jon is on his 2nd TVR, in less than a year, for a reason. ;)

The only TVR I've seen here where I live was a silver T350. Just hearing its engine sound in the streets would give you the creeps.

I wouldn't see why you'd be scared to drive it though MCF.

Well, you have to see one, hear Its sound and then ask yourself If you would have the courage to enter the car and take the wheel to drive It.

honestly, those points are barely a thing to be considered scared when it comes to a car. Normal people wouldn't be scared of that even. Being scared about driving a car has more to do with the knowledge of the car's past than the way it sounds.

Moreover, modern cars are NOT scary to the point of you not having balls to even sitting on them. You wanna be scared to drive something? Drive a oldschool sports/race car. Old cars not only have none of the gizmos of todays rides, but also are more unforgiving before your driving skills. Many of them were set on a simple mission, be fast and kill you if you fail to tame them.

And example? Porsche 917. One that on it's first model, was considered by race drivers to be a undriveable, lunatically fast demon of a car. Looking at it, and know what it could do was enough to make you even consider if sitting on the passenger seat was a bad idea or a really horrible idea.

Jon's TVR is cool, like Sin, i'm not fond of the looks of it but i respect its performance, but still, I do not find reasons to think of it as a scary car to drive.

A Cerbera Speed 12 on the other hand...

TVR is a synonym to wild cars. They are well-known monsters.

Old cars and race cars are pure adrenaline for the following reasons...

1. Old cars have an old technology, so fault rate increases dramatically at one error by the driver's part.

2. Racing cars are raw. 'Nuff said.

A Cerbera Speed 12 on the other hand...

Oh, you mean driving something along the lines of this...

0-60 mph (97 km/h): 2.9 seconds
0-100 mph (160 km/h): 4.6 seconds
0-200 mph (320 km/h): 13.9 seconds
1/4 mile (~400 m): 9.0 seconds at 155 mph (249 km/h)
Weight 2,205 lb (1,000 kg)
Power: 800 bhp (597 kW; 811 PS)
Top speed: 240 mph (390 km/h)

I'm also not too fond of TVR's designs, they look weird and usually have strange round shapes around the lights or bumpers. The Cerbera Speed Six is an exception though, I love that car's design. Although this doesn't mean I don't like them, as strange as they look they are still attractive and interesting, and I bet I would crap my pants if I saw one in real life.

Looking back, I think I should have voted for Jon's Tamora. My vote for this month was for JaxInc's Z32 since I thought he would deserve some recognition after dumping so much money and work to that (those) car(s), but it seems he doesn't visit often anymore and the Nissan still needs stuff to be fixed.

Go back to the days where racers were using cars without power steering, no ABS, and rely solely on skill. Today's cars may be faster overall, but they are also engineered for use of the accessory components.

Small cars make great accidents.

TVRs are proper old school cars, there are no safety features except a seat belt. Built in a very simple way with a space frame chassis and fiberglass bodywork, big power, very little weight and the noise it makes is awesome, esspecially mine with the straight through exhausts.
The Tuscan was a proper handful I had almost lost it a couple of times before, then I got stupid and lost it big time as a consequence, would like another though saying that.
