Hi,

I just messed around with my copy of HP and did some model extracts of it:

What I did here are extracted models of few Police cars. I plan extract the others, too. I know, anyone may say it`s fake, but it`s not, the cars are not scratch made versions. The only reason they not have textures, is because a lot of textures were ripped uncorrectly, same as wrong UV mapping

A big problem - no UV map placement and many missing textures. The rest and converting them is okay, but we`ll need to wait until Oleg make a filter for Zmodeler 2, since the files are archived or zipped.

Agreed. The car`s models are kinda good, I think they`ll be a nice addition to Most Wanted or other game.
I`d put these models as downloadable here (http://racingmadness.99k.org/models.html), so anyone interested in them, can convert. Textures will be uploaded later.

The problem with putting the cars into MW is that there's MASSES of cops there, rather than one Badass Interceptor Unit. Wouldn't like 20 Veyrons on my *** every 5 minutes.

Although when handled properly (CVPI, Charger, GT500, Camaro) these could greatly enrich the experience of MW. Not to mention a potentially amazing riceproof replacement car list...

Things are looking up :)

Fon`t forget that you must have 3DS MAX and .3dr plugin, in order to open the .3dr files inside Frames folder ;)

As for the FOV settings - use the second available or this one which is in range of 50-60.

The models surely are nice enough to put it other NFS', especially cuz most of them dont have a dash view.

Hi all!

I'm working on extracting game-resources from NFS:HP, and now I can extract Textures and Models from game pack's (*.BIN, *.BNDL, *.BUNDLE).

The result of extraction of Bugatti into OBJ and load in 3DS Max.

There are some glitches still here, but I'm planing to fix them and post a toolset and a formats documentation. Stay tuned :wink:

This person over at the Zmodeler 2 forum talks about extracting models and textures from the PC version with tools being made which means it will eliminate the need to rip models with 3D Ripper DX. This translates into better, cleaner and easier rips and maybe even the game being cracked in the future as well.

Oh, finally some progress here.
BTW, Ukrainians and Russians are just the best at doing stuff like that! (I`m in proud to be Ukrainian/Bulgarian) :cool:

And I`ll not stop converting from the Wii, too ;)

Well I have the textures aswell, but only textures without being possible to apply them on the cars itself is nothing (IMO, the looks like a paint drawings to me ;) ). Wait until iOrange over Zmodeler2 release his program.

i've actually dumped the whole map file (parts of it from different races and sorta pieced it together lol) to make a custom map for Halo hahaha

Everyone iOrange has made his Hot Pursuit Extractor available to the public that means clean ripped models and textures. The possiblity of the game being cracked along with even Burnout Paradise being cracked too.

I've extracted textures in .dds and models in .obj, everything is ok but after import to Zmod2 models lose mapping. :|
This software need various updates.

Anyway, like CVPI said, is a big progress to crack HP and BP.

Try import in Zmodeler 1.07 and see what happens there.

What I should had said if you have you 3D Studio and import it there then save it as a 3DS file then try it in Zmodeler 1 or 2.

He says he is still working on it at the moment since this tool is in beta form and not perfect at the moment.

How to import textures and models to BNDL/BIN file ?
I have imported custom vehicle textures, world textures, language translations and even custom challenges into Burnout Paradise's BUNDLE/BNDL/BIN files for the Burnout Paradise Vanity Pack mod. I'd be surprised if the NFSHP file format is much different - I hope to have another look at it soon. Tweaking the models sounds interesting, indeed.

Yes, they are, but I don't know their average number of polies.

Wow, imported the Crown vic and Taurus into 3ds max and was surprised that those cars still have no more than ~26k tris. It almost seem like they got less detailed this time, door handles and other stuff are just decals. Shift and I think even Prostreet had more modeled details. I couldnt notice this on Hot Pursuits screenshots before tho. Really thought they had amuch higher polycount.

Damn, that is WEIRD.

But the Crown Vic's handles are flat anyway, plus all the 'important', desirable cars have their handles perfectly modelled.

Here is good news now the PC version models with their uv mappings can officially be ripped from the game with no problems with v.2 of NFSHP Explorer.
