Here's my Custom Nova. The body sports a one off fiberglass hood, & rear spoiler. It has a 76 Ventura nose, 4 1950 Pontiac tail lights frenched in, the bumpers have been recessed & smoothed on the ends. I made a custom set of ground effects from a 4x8 sheet of 16 ga. steel.
The suspension has poly body, motor, trans, & leaf bushings & mounts, tubular A-arms, & big sway bars.
It has stock 350/350 eng & trans, ceramic coated headers, 2.5 mandrel bent exhaust, an 8.5 inch rear with 3.73 posi & powdercoated.
It was an idea of mine made into reality. The only thing I didn't do myself is stitch up the seats. I drive it almost every day. :mask:

Proof is requried. If you don't post proof, GTFO.

Do you think anybody else would admit to owning this thing?

Proof is required, its part of the rules, but if you do own this car, I have 1 question:
What was wrong with keeping the car a Nova? I mean you kinda slapped 2 different cars into it...

It's really mine, I'll get proof by tomorrow, or make another thread if it gets deleted before then. The Ventura nose came in to play when the Nova SS front didn't work with the ground effects because it was at the wrong angle. The nose & hood was a direct bolt on & went with the lines I had in mind. It's a controversial car, very liked or very hated. If I could do it again....I wouldn't.

Lol.

Can you post pics of the car before you, uhm, customized it?

Here's about the only pic of the car before the transformation.

I make more parts in my tiny shop for these 75-79 Novas than any company...probably ever will. Only Nova part I make that fit this car was the air dam & it's under the car. Here's my album with all the parts I make. I'm not in production of Nova parts right now, because I'm working on a 72-74 Cuda grill mold. http://s591.photobucket.com/albums/ss356/76SS/

Have you ever thought of entering it in some Car shows? I'm sure you could win something out of all that hard work.

I thought about it, but I don't care where it stands compared to other cars. I won the privelage of being able to drive my own creation. I built it to drive, & I beat it up pretty good too when nobody's around I could hurt but myself.

I would lower the stance a bit, especially in the front. The car would really come together then, as it looks like it's designed for a lower stance. Paint job looks good too.

Agreed. I tried to lower the front as is, but the tires rubbed. Novas track one inch wider on each side in the front. I didn't want narrower wheels, so I got a set of 1" narrower Heidts Controll arms & coil overs. 2" dropped spindles seemed too much in the front, so I'll use stock spindles & coil overs to drop the front an inch or so. That'll give it a quarter inch rake. It would look better even lower, but it is a driver, lowered cars lose alot of driveability and comfort. But other projects & priorities are keeping me from installing these parts right now, but hopefully soon.

You should put some Slot Mags on it, like these, to maximize the 70's-ness:

^ Those wheels would probably look best. I don't like the idea of you "beating" it up, cars like that are kind of hard to come by...

I have those wheels on my other Nova project I'm building for my son. His car came with them, & they'll probly stay on it. I like the old school style for sure, but with ground effects & pro tour suspension 14" inch slots would look too tiny IMO compared to the 17" on it now.

The chrome 17" IROC or the plain 15" Camaro wheels on the unmolested Nova?
