It's a fully loaded model, so its got a 6 Speaker Cd/Tape stereo system, power everything, leather, homelink, digital climate control, Steering wheel audio control etc... I'll get better pictures sometime this week when I get it plated and whatnot.

Isn't this like the Acura version of the Prelude?
04-10-2011, 09:32 PM
It was based on the Honda Accord IIRC.

Oh, learn something new every day I guess.
Oh, learn something new every day I guess.
They're not even in the same league. Prelude is about 50hp more powerful lol.
Anyways. Nice girly car there, homo. :)
I keed I keed. I envy your gas mileage.

Never seen that car before...

girly car is girly. :P
but i like it, cuz it suits me too y0. /sarcasm.
serious note, why did you sell the teggy anyways....it was better than this, but oh well, worth it. heh

Nice car. Sucks that you had to sell the Integra though, but good to hear that you found a new job :)
That engine have a single overhead cam setup? My family has a '95ish Accord wagon (CE1 or something is the chassis code) that has an F22-something, and it has a SOHC VTEC setup. ~145HP or so at the crank (assuming it's in factory condition, which I'm sure it's not, although it's in very good shape except the paint).

I had to sell the Teggy as I didn't find work and funds were getting tight. I rather like this one more then the 'teg cause its a little bigger and more comfortable.
This one is completely stock with no mods under hood, and its got the SOHC VTEC engine (specs are in my first post). Here's a few more pics;

Had it on the road over the weekend and picked up some 6,000K HID's from a friend. Got some weird Idle problem I got to sort out, but other then that it runs like a dream. Today a friend at work took my car and put 23% tint on the back windows for me. Gotta lower it though, jeez its got 4x4 status hardcore lmao.
Here's some new pictures.

Might as well update this a little bit.
Installed my 6,000K HID`s I got from a friend, naturally they drastically improved my night time visibility and also updated the looks a little bit I feel. Took some time to de-badge the rear and give her a good 3 stage polish & wax, got a new windshield put in and installed a 8`` bazooka tube my dad had kicking around to help add a little boom to the factory stereo until my new system arrives and gets installed. Other then that nothing`s really changed save for the mileage which cracked over 200,000Km`s a few weekends ago (currently sitting just shy of 202,500Km`s!).
Within` the next few paychecks I`m going to start ordering my sound system which will include a Pioneer AVH-P3200BT Heaudint (5.8" Screen, DVD Playback, Bluetooth etc...), Focal Speakers all around, and a 10" Subwoofer & 5 Channel amp to power it all. Hopefully after that's all done a wings west type r front lip (and front bumper repair & re-spray), OEM rear spoiler, 17" or 18" wheels, short ram intake and exhaust will round off the mods for now. I might add a few suspension mods to reduce some body roll (larger anti-roll bars & lowering springs) as well, and I might get my manager to vinyl wrap my roof for me in a gold carbon fiber wrap he has just to add some uniqueness to it.
I`m overall really impressed with this car. I've taken it on a few long road trips and she is a very comfortable highway cruiser - smooth riding, quiet and very easy on gas. On my last trip I took down to Calgary I averaged 32MPG while cruising at 140-150km/h (85/90mph)! Anyways onto some new pictures I have to share!

Ugh, that ***....

Those are some great looking photos. Love the second one!

Some pics from my trip to Nakusp, BC a few weekends ago:
Had plenty of fun in the mountains with her, maybe just a little too much though. Turns out the inside pads on my front brakes were way more worn down then the outsides were and chewed up my rotors pretty good. Took the chance to upgrade to ATE carbon ceramic pads and ATE slotted rotors, and I've noticed a big difference in my braking performance.

Well with winter getting ready to knock on our door up here and my arm finally out of a cast and healing, it was time to give Coco some much needed love. Washed/waxed the exterior & Vacuumed/Shampooed/Leather protected the interior. Also hit up a few mechanical bits:
Starter decided to die a slow and painful death, New one on the left vs. Old on the right:
New one installed:
While changing that, I noticed coolant was leaking from somewhere and upon further inspection I discovered my radiator had a crack going straight across the top. Picked up a new one today and installed it:
Exterior is still the same, nothing's really gonna change until after winter:
Next mechanical projects coming up is a new rear caliper and Idle Air Control Valve and a set of winter tires.
11-11-2011, 11:28 AM
Ugh I miss my tinted lenses :(
Look good though!
11-13-2011, 12:25 PM
nice job with the radiator
love the shots in the previous posts, great location to shoot

What an unusual car. Never seen it. Love how you care for it too.
11-16-2011, 12:26 AM
Thanks guys. I've really grown used to the styling and actually get quite a few compliments on it. I'm hoping to get the rest of the little mechanical tid bits fixed this weekend if I can find the parts.
And due to my awesome anti-theft system on my OEM radio, The codes to pull up the code to unlock the radio don't work (had to disconnect the battery to do the starter, reset everything). So it's gonna go bye-bye and it's hello to the Pioneer AVH-P3300BT Heaudint (5.8" Screen, DVD Playback, Bluetooth, Navigation, iPod compatibility etc...). Should be ordered by the end of the week, that's gonna be a fun install lol. While I've got most of my center console ripped out and while I'm installing the headunit (or getting it installed at work lol), I might wire up these in the foot wells:
Oh, here's her first time seeing snow/ winter duty in almost 4 years, as the previous owner stored her indoors over winter and drove his truck...

This pic is pretty damn cool. Nice car, dude.

A little update:
I installed a KD-R210 Headunit I got from a friend to replace the broken factory one.
I also had some new tires (Nokian WRG2's) put on as I blew a sidewall in one of mine, and the tire shop informed me I have a ripped CV Boot. No biggie, just ordered a new axle and that will be replaced next week. I've clocked almost 27,000Km on her since April, and she's sitting right at 220,000Km so its not a surprise some parts are failing.
And last but not least, I put on my Yakima roof rack and Thule tonight. Now she's ready to see some snowboarding trips to the mountains!
01-22-2012, 11:54 PM
A little "Winter" photoshoot I did with the roof rack on two weeks ago. It was +8 the day I shot these so it was melting the little snow we had up here.
Here's a roller that was shot last weekend. The warm weather had melted most of the snow...
Just clocked up another 1,000Km's taking her up to the mountains for a ski/snowboarding trip. Thule adds a bit of drag (which was expected), and made windy highway driving a little bit harder, but she made it through just fine. I wish I got some pictures up there, but it totally slipped my mind. Next time I go I will lol.

Man, you got some excellent shots in here. I wish I had...such photography skills.

Well, its officially been a year since I brought Coco home. Longest I've kept a car since Nikki, my old E36. I've racked up 32,000Km's on her this past year with only a few minor issues. Nothing really new going on, she's not getting spoiled yet as I'm waiting for my tax return and I'm in between jobs (again ffs). Hopefully both of those will come in soon as I'm looking for a new set of shoes for summer this year. Bumper should also be getting fixed soon as well, just gotta take it off and give it to my dad to paint. Also looking for a OEM spoiler, a new grille, and maybe an exhaust to freshen things up for this season. Otherwise I'm focusing on saving money to bring over a '97 WRX from Japan this year.
Here's a picture from last week during a crazy spring snow storm that hit us.
04-10-2012, 07:12 PM
Car looks good! I don't see many of those things around here.
04-18-2012, 01:13 AM
Had a spring snow storm on my birthday (again), & took this at 4Am after a little drifting;
Also picked up these:
OZ Ultraleggera in 17x7 with a offset of +40, sitting on crappy Goodyear 215/40R17 tires. Full photo shoot will come this weekend after I spend some time detailing her inside and out.
05-01-2012, 07:47 PM
I'm really liking the rims! They go nicely with the car :D
05-10-2012, 12:47 AM
Thanks, I really like how well they go with it. Here's a few more pics, sorry for the delay as It's been raining lately and I've been lazy:
Thanks to our crappy roads and the low profile tires Ive already bent 2 of them pretty bad. I'm hoping to get this fixed sometime soon. I'm also hoping to be picking up a set of lowering springs I found for sale here locally which'll drop the car 2.25" in the front and 2" in the rear (if I get them).
06-01-2012, 01:45 AM
Took a hacksaw to my bumper and cut some holes to mount up some fog lights out of boredom the other day:
They even have a ricer mode!
There's 2 separate bulbs in both lights. The lower ones are blue and don't really do anything other then look cool at night. The upper ones are the fogs and throw out great light, should really help those late night road trips on the highway for camping and such this year. I'll be wrapping them with yellow Lamin-X & 3M at some point this weekend as they are glass lenses and I don't want them to catch a rock and shatter.
Also keen eyes will notice the 16's are back on. Thanks to our crappy roads I smoked a pothole and really bent one of my wheels outta wack & on top of that I got a nail in another tire. The bent wheels are going to be repaired and I'm replacing the tires with bigger ones - 225/45r17 (vs. 215/40 currently on the wheels). Hopefully I'll have the OZ's back on in a few weeks, I already miss the way they look on the car.
Also I'm hoping to give the bumper a quick (and temporary) rattle can re-spray sometime soon until I find a new bumper since this one is more beat up then I thought it was - the whole lower grille section is almost completely broken off. It's been like this since I got the car and I just never bothered to actually look at the bumper closely until the other day lol.

Today I spent the day tearing apart the center console to create a mounting spot for the fog light switch. When I installed the fogs I was in a rush and had no time to run the switch wiring through the firewall, which I did today. Decided to mount the switch where the factory seat heaters are on the 3.0CL's. Was simple, just took a bit of drilling and some dremeling and a little bit of paint to shine it up. Not a perfect match, but that can be fixed later.
While I had the center console apart, I rewired the stereo as some connections came loose and out of boredom I wired up those LED's I posted earlier. Was really simple, just wired them into the "illumination" cord on my headunit that wasn't hooked up. The lights come on as soon as you turn on the parking or low beam lights. Was driving around tonight with them on and they make the interior a nicer place to be at night, I find it very relaxing and totally changes the look of the interior.

Good work sir! Car is looking really good :)
07-12-2012, 01:13 AM
Gave her a good cleaning today after work. Also picked up some vent visors and installed them a few weeks back. Coco might be for sale soon, not gonna say what I could be picking up as I'm still working on a few little details, but I will say it's almost too sweet a deal to pass up... :}
07-13-2012, 04:04 AM
Excited to see whats in store, I really like Coco, but you always have us on our toes :D can't wait!
How's the CL as a daily driver, looking to get one at one point, they look so sharp
07-14-2012, 03:26 AM
As sad as I will be to see Coco go, financially it works out better for me in the long run. I would highly recommend the CL as a daily driver, its a very comfortable car and has costed me very little in maintenance over the course of the last year and a half. They are pretty rare cars as they only made two body styles over a 6 year period, and they still turn heads being almost 15 years old.
If everything works out, I should be closing the deal on my new car tomorrow at work and bringing her home. Just had it through our shop for inspection and she passed with flying colors as expected. Very, very excited and I'm finding it hard to sleep right now lol.
