Personally i use Win98 and WinXp Pro
Well i split my hd up so i'm able to run both os's :D
XP is good for the newer games, but i have win98 for games like nfs4 or half-life becoz those don't work on XP
But enough bout me, what os do u use for games??

Windows XP. All the games I play work (even Transport Tycoon Deluxe, which is a game from 1995!). I never want to go back to Windows98, crappy OS, too many blue screens there. I haven't had a real hangup on this XP machine for several months (*knocks on wood*).

That sums up my reply, except I used to use WinME. It was even worse than 98....

PS the only reason my PC froze once was because my video card and the driver for it didnt work together well... I installed an older driver and now it works fine.

I've used
linux
windows 95
windows 98fe
-windows 98se
-windows me
-windows xp

at the moment the ones with '-' i currently have stored on my F:\
as well as on CD's with the other 3.

personally.. I want to try Windows Longhorn build 4008..but that wont be until next year..
I am currently using 98se as windows ME bugs alot.. and Xp wouldnt install because my HDD isnt formatted to NTFS

XP Pro I use... The compatability wizard is very useful.

I also have Win 2k server on my machine for the webserver stuff... I also host a business network :faint: ... very careful with viruses

good ol' windows 95  , sweet jebus!!!!
i hate it, but it's the only thing that works on my piece of crap comp,
that lets me use D3D in games. i tried a bunch of OS and they all lock
up on games when i use D3D, except 95, so unfortunetly i'm stuck with that.

well i use just about every Win OS and I am learning Linux, however on my main Comp, and the one i use for games, it is WinME. yah, yah, bla bla bla, ME sucks, bla bla bla. heard it all. i know many people complain of it, however i have had it for 2 years, and although i can't say it is perfect at all, I like it better then 98 and I HATE XP. I hate simplified, dumbed down, idiot proof things and that is what XP is. Also it has so much wasted space with colorful picutres and things like that all over the place. I would use Win2000 as a my main OS, but it is no good for gaming. I like Linux better than any WinOS, however it too, has limited selection of games.

Dont try Longhorn until it comes out as a full version. I tried a beta (older build than you mentioned though) and it completely screwed my computer over. A lot of things did not work in Longhorn, and I got numerous bugs and errors...
