I recently re-installed the game along with multiple bugfixes and graphics addons and got into it. If you thought GT3 was as real as it gets, you have never plated GPL (Grand Prix Legends). Of course the only cars available are Grand Prix cars from the 1960's, but the physics model is extremely convincing - great weight transfer, damage, and a realistic sense of speed... Keeping the car on the track is a challenge of its own. I am pretty sure the game is editable - there are downloadable add-on tracks and cars... Anyone play this game?

Yep, I remember this game. Great!!! It is really a benchmark for realism and difficulty. But that's nice because driving a 1960's shouldn't be easy.
Papyrus, the developer of the game, always made great racing games. My favorite: Indycar Racing 2 back in the days of DOS. Those were the days!! Great games (GP2 by microprose was available then) with great gameplay and no need for a Geforce3 or 4.

i heard a lot about it in the racer community and i even got it some time (from twilight) but i never played it much, it was too hard for me at that time :P
