ok. now this I like..

Modable, custom Tracks, Replays, Realistic Physics. Whats this, it also has Damage?

Wrecking Mode

get yourself some "support" with a rocket launcher or minigun!

Knock Out Mode
Just be quicker than the slowest driver on the track - after each lap completed the last driver is kicked out of race until there's only one last man standing!

Speed Bomb Mode
(formerly known as "secret mode")

Watch out, someone installed a bomb in your car and it's blowing up if you're getting too slow!
Now let's see how long you can continue to stay alive on the right route!

Capture The Flag
(team-play capable)

Catch the flag by crashing into your opponents and bring it back to the flag point! Or better let you help out by a team member by passing the flag over with a missile shot.

Pass The Bomb Mode
It might be YOU who was chosen to carry out a bomb that explodes after a certain bomb timer expired! So better quickly pass over that thingy to anyone else before it's time to say good-bye!

Test Drive
Test drive tracks, cars or car setups without any rule restrictions (singleplayer only).

Please note that they are updating the cars to higher Detail.. some of these shots were from the first build.

Now this will be FUN!

Beside fast sports cars you will also be able to drive "common" urban cars as well as some heavier vans. All vehicles will clearly differ in terms of handling and it will even be possible to influence their physical parameters through tuning operations.
Crashday does not contain licensed cars so Moon Byte Studios decided to create own car types.

Too bad the cars arent real, sorta like Live for Speed. But it looks like you will be able to put in other cars.

What will the Crashday soundtrack be like?

Beside fast break beat pieces Crashday will also feature techno/trance songs as well as some hip hop titles.

Is there any way to integrate my own music?

Quite probably Crashday will support ".ogg"-audio files meaning you could also add your own music to the game. ".ogg" is similar to ".mp3" and both audio files can easily be converted from one into the other with tools available on the net.

Which controllers are supported?

Since Crashday uses the DirectInput interface there shouldn't be any big compatibility issues with current DirectX hardware. Mostly all game pads, analog joysticks and racing wheels should work fine. Crashday also supports the ForceFeedback technology.

Will there be any weather effects like rain or snow?

Crashday will support different time settings but no weather effects actually.

Will there be night races in Crashday?

Yes. If there is be no actual night setting, there will be a very dark morning setting or something similar at least.

Are there any different types of surface?

Crashday currently supports asphaltic as well as offroad grass-like surfaces. There also might be some other surface type in the future.

From which camera views may I choose?

- cockpit cam
- hood cam (possible)
- chase cam - near
- chase cam - far
- rear view cam
- cam on car side (in driving direction)
- cam on car side (in rear direction)

- automatic TV-like cameras
- all previously mentioned cameras

How do I create own cars or track pieces?

Of course we can only give a rough preview of the process yet.
The most convenient way is to simply create your model in a modelling tool that supports .3DS files (like ZModeler or 3D Studio MAX etc.), then export it to a .3DS-file and finally convert it into Crashday-internal data formats with our inhouse tools. The second, more complicated and time-consuming way is to create your model "from the scratch" with our own tools and even apply textures.

Of course we want to build up a community that is as huge as possible. Therefore we will probably have to write more converters for other car file formats etc. Experienced converter programmers which would like to help us with the creation of such tools are always free to contact us.

Awell ill have to import some of my own then
Whats better then to smash cars durring Bach and Beethoven.
But ofcourse also rock/metal/industrial/jpop or whatever..

Game looks interesting indeed, reminds me of the good ol' STUNTS days.
Man did I play Stunts alot.

Kind of a Burnout meets Need for Speed meets 4x4 EVO 2. :mrgreen: Looks extremely promising. Now we just gotta wait...........Thats the worst. And the music isn't bad either. What with the ability to add/edit your own stuff, the game looks nearly perfect.

Rogueleader.. if you notice .. they will have support for Yeh.. every single car available for NFS can be available for Crashday.

Since they are seriously thinking about a dark (nighttime or early dawn/late evening) time setting, lights will almost certainly be included, as far as a horn, who knows, who cares? Traffic? Not likely, the movie shows what looks like a test track. And even if they include road tracks , they'll most likely be closed circuits. Wipers? I thought I read that weather was not in the plans, so by deduction there will be no wipers. I doubt that many of the smaller amenities will be there, like tire wear, engine wear (long term), warning lights in the dash, turn signals, not really likely. I think the object is to crash your opponents (and win :mrgreen: ), and signaling them defeats that purpose. But the crashes look spectacular. I hope that they will have instant replay like burnout had, yknow, crash-view it again in several different angles.

Like I said, the game as presented currently, looks nearly perfect. Adding stuff , would be just more things to take up button space, and possibly edit when the SDK is released (not to mention completely useless) But that is just my opinion. :D

Im interested in the physics and how they will handle. Looks nice, but it could just be another "racer" (its an game with crappy physics, but looks great)

Not at all... Some guys just make crappy physics, but if you have the right car (like the '92 Toyota MR2), you'll have lots of fun driving around on a 160263 polied track :twisted:

I see wannabe Bugatti EB110s and Lamborghini Countachs. Graphix looks a bit fuzzy, but nice overall.

as i mentioned in my first post..

They are unlicensed so they cant have real names.but pretty much are the cars..

I want to see high poly cars (Faction cars) in this game.. it would be wikid! :twisted:
