Well, this is my Version of BeniC´s Autobahn. :)
Im still working over a year (with brakes) to make the track much more realĂ*stic. A big Part of the Autobahn has 3 track lines now :wink:
But the Bug with the middle roadboundary is still alive :cry: _still waiting on nappes new t3ed :mrgreen: sry for my wrong english :D

Btw: If you are using T3ED, try nT3ED, thats alot better, it has fixed bugs and a better design! :super:

I can fix road boundary. But not all. I can fix only opponents, not police and traffic.

with T3ED Plus Dev 3 you won't be able to fix middle road boundary. I and Vitaly Kootin used a few weeks by trying to understand how Track bitmap (packed struct/record, with 16 entries for passable, one for non-passable polygon) actually works, but still nothing. Also so called "virtual road boundary flag" isn't exactly that what is it called. (at least for NFS4.)
there's lane width's but then again they should be recalculated somehow from from that track bitmap values, but how, is another mystery.


It is good to know, if X-rAy-X has found the way edit lane data easily, so I won't be wasting my time to that one.

Also, I have done small utily to convert spd files to text format and vice versa, but only 1 meaning of 3 is really solved. (there's 3 sections. first one is 1 8 bit value representing the speed of AI per 2 slices (strips) on track. second one is believed to be 8 bit value indicating AI's best line, but none (except 127 is center line of the road.) of the values do not really make sense. (must have something to do with that mysterious Track Bitmap.) third value is 32 bit float value, and I have no idea what it does.)


as in the original BeniC's Autobahn, there's quite lot of polygonal tweaks that breaks down the known file spec. I don't recomend trying to fix it with T3ed Plus Dev3, because for example LOD generator is based on information that nodes/slices/strips are continuos and there's not more than 8 (max.) nodes per block. (very wierd thing most likely will occur, and program crash is also possible.)


as a positive news, I am trying to release a sort of beta soon... Don't know sure yet, which additional utilities will be released simultaneusly. (when you see a new web design @ RP-Design site, you know that beta release is close.)

Are you finishing the alternate paths that Beni already started (like that major highway towards the end of the track, etc)? I loved the old track, but those unfinished palces bugged me. Yours looks great, I cant wait for it!

I love that track!
But, I've got to say that I'm hating it, when users start to make a track/car, and say "in a few days it'll be released", and then they suddenly disappear, and the track/car will never be finished.

oh, sorry that i don´t use my spare time only for Modelling :angry:
I have a Real Life and friends and that´s for me more important than a track project :eyes:

...I want to finish the track but I have some other, bigger and more important projects like this

I dont know how many projects I have given up, the best thing to do with a project is get some interest before you start, that way you dont do all that work for nothing

Patience my friend, stuff like this DOES require time. Everybody needs to learn patience. Lets just wait and it'll be out before you know it. I would rather have a quality track rather than something slopped together. I thought the screenshots looked awesome.

How's it any different than NFS3 Rocky Pass?
I really like the track, it's like the real world instead of being trapped in tracks that don't look real.

I have to tell You that [KH] is now making rendercars only at the german Forum "NFS4-Forum.de"! - It seems that he will never return to modelling a track again.... Sorry guys but You have to forget both tracks: Autobahn2 and RockyPass2004... - No chance to see them finnished or to see a good beta... :'( :( :'(

there's no more such thing as GT Mod team. even private forum at NFSCheats has been dead since April 2004. I am not sure if anyone still has the files.
