Well ok and well....


Got the leather seats out of the 92 and they are installed into the 90.

Now as far as the engine in the 90 goes lol...
I pulled the spark plugs yesterday and wow...um...lol... Chambers 1-3-5 all plugs were burnt and tips were just gone, chamber 1 was saturated in oil. As expected of chamber 1 since it's close to the oil cap.
Next, chambers 2-4-6, chamber 2 was in the same condition was the others, plug burnt beyond recognition and tip gone. Chamber 4 also burnt to hell. Chamber 6... saturated in oil, and a piece of metal came out with the plug... Chamber 6 is gone, pieces of metal are visible on the lifter. Chamber 4, the gasket can be seen...melted and coming into the chamber where it should NOT be in the first place.
I also removed the intake piping in process of pulling the plenum and.... there are black marks firing OUT of the intake and down the intake pipes. Well... I flipped the valves open on the TB's to look inside and the... amount of black and debri inside showed me that the engine has detonated and is a complete loss.

There is no repairing the 90's engine, it must be swapped for the 92's.
That being said I didnt even bother to replace the plugs or coil packs into the 90's engine, it's just history.

I might be able to sell the upper plenum, throttle bodies and maybe the valve covers, but the block is gone.

Anyway, I still have a guy coming down this week to buy some parts off me, apparently he got delayed in georgia at Z1 Motorsports when they discovered one of his chambers failed a compression test. So he wont be down here till wednesday at the earliest.

Thats all for now, I had taken some pictures but forgot to transfer to my laptop from the SD card, so meh.

yeah, that's true. older cars gotta have the halogen. but I think the 300zx's design is modern enough to go with the xenons.

Plus the 96 300zx came with HIDs, the older models didnt get that option.

I love how both of your car are going and you seem to take insightful thoughts on what is going on within the car, so therefore you are fixing the automobile in the most careful manner. The visual looks of the car seems by far more better than the original car and the bodykit seems pretty appealing to the eye.

Contacted the mechanic that came out and looked at the car, waiting on him to get back with me. Hope to have the car running in a few more weeks.
