Default okay, this is a little bold, but I'm trying to fix headphones.

I love good sound quality when I'm on the go (RM where you at). I have a pair of Bose headphones i got a while back. The connection in one of the headphones was in and out, I could move around the cord and it'd be scratchy, in and out. So I made a cut at where I thought the connection was weak, and now I'm kind of stuck. That probably wasn't the smartest idea.

There's an orange line and a red line, I was hoping i could intertwine each line from each side I cut. Or could I solder the two together? would that work? we tried twisting the lines together and it wasn't working still. Maybe the connection wasn't solid enough.

EDIT: Okay did some research and realized that twisting them together does nothing but soldering them might work (as long as I don't solder them as 1). Anyone ever tried this?

I know this might sound kind of ridiculous, but I don't really have the money for even a cheap pair of headphones at the moment so whatever, any ideas would be cool.

thanks

Which Bose model? Do you still have a warranty left?

Do you have a soldering iron? If not, a good soldering iron is going to cost you around the price of a decent low-budget headphone.

The in-ear headphones, I think they only have one in-ear model. Unless I'm trippin. And I do not. It was only a 30-day I think.

I don't, however a friend of mine thinks he can pull it off, apparently he has some sort of custom soldering iron for small things like this.
meh.

Did you buy the in-ears used or something? According to Bose, the warranty on just about anything they make unless stated otherwise is 1 year. I would call technical support at 1-800-278-1281 and let them know about the problem you're having.

I cut the bud off the line a couple days back, lol, that might no longer be an option
