NFSMW on DirectX 10

How do you run NFS Most wanted on Direct X 10, because it says something like directx9.dll not found, which means it cannot find direct x 9 on this computer.

this is new, i didnt even know DX10 was released yet, should be still 9c..

thanks for the heads up.. i'll take a look.

.. try reinstalling Direct X and see if that helps, its on the NFSMW install discs.

DirectX 10 isn't publically available yet.
I expect porsche908 is using a leaked beta.

Well, I, as a DirectX 10 user, do NOT recommend you to use it, for it is extremely unfriendly to my graphics card, to my NFS, and to my display screen, and to me.
It doesn't let me use the comfortable 1280X800 display setting for my monitor, but instead, says the max is 1280X768, leading to 32 lines of stretched pixels.
ALso, NFSMW doesn't seem to run on DX10

me and extreme just went over this on MSN. He has the Vista beta, no being humble about it, its not that hard to get either. Direct X 10 wont be able to run on Vista Beta 2 at all unless it is officially released next year. Yoy cant play games on vista beta cause you will get that error, as said in my topic, use the search button, ive already written about it.

Why am I so misunderstood?

I never said I had it - I wouldn't want it - it's "out there" though... I could get it if I wanted to

As I hear it you can play some games in the current Vista Beta and the list is growing...

I always wait until after the first service pack before installing a new OS anyway.

Well, luckily, I still have my XP, so when I want to play NFSMW, i only need to restart the comp, and select XP, and play it.

Well no duh it doesn't work. All the current video cards are not even DX10 and DX10 has not come out yet. It will be released when Vista is. Also, XP doesn't even support and won't support DX10 (this is coming from Microsoft)
