Default best nfs game from 1 ro 6

if the older nfs game had the same great graphics as the prostreet coming this year what would be your favorite one?

1. highstakes best tracks, two games in one, and best career mode
2.PU very close to HS
3.HP2 very good track designs and good new cars
4.HP1 well could be a tie for highstakes but less tracks\
5. part 1 se the tracks it had still i remember too bad no wheel control for it and most of all dos game
6.part 2 se didn't play much work shortly on xp windows but can you forget the fzr 2000?

And who says a good racing game needs good graphics?

1. HS for its fast driving line - no room for error
2. PU has got a pretty good damage model, and I like the driving style here as well

After that, i don't really know/care.

Here are my top 3:
1. NFS6- best physics, great selection of cars, tracks, and great HP mode.
2. NFS4- best career mode, cars, and HP mode.
3. NFS5- tracks were detailed, and realistic damage.

The "two games in one" thing is my biggest flaw over high stakes. It set out to take over hot pursuit, and for certain; the nfs3 tracks do NOT belong on high stakes. They don't suit the game, and it ruins nfs3.

Porsche Unleashed.

High Stakes is very close second.

TNFS even closer third.

For this topic it is a tossup for me.

I would have to say that its a Tie Between NFS4 and NFS6.

to me NFS4 makes NFS3 Redundent because HS has everything that HP has and then some.
NFS6 just has some awesome kickbutt action. Nuff Said.

I think that even though the PS2 version is greater, Hot Pursuit 2 on PC is underrated and is actually quite fun while it lasts. Well,at least it's better than the not-so-good High Stakes (PC).

Well I am on the PC and do not have a PSX of any type. That being said

HS has all the Tracks and Features that HP1 had + you can

A) Add cars to the PC Version of HP&HS.
B) Swap out Playable Map/Tracks on the PC version of HS.
C) Play Online with the PC version of HS.
D) With the Stock/Expanded pack, can provide updated/Smoother graphics.

As for Hp2, Black Box Handeled the Devlopment for all NON-PSX versions of it. This resulted in the PS2 getting a much better version of the game Graphically and single player Gameplay wise(I saw the ps2 versions of it because my friend has it for ps2. However, The PC version does have it's own set of advantages.

A) PC Version of HP2 is still being played online VIA Ingame browser and via Gamespy Arcade.
B) PC Version of HP2 has replacement cars available via this very website.
C) The Average user of the PC version can make adjustments to the cars as needed without affecting online play if someone hosts an unmodifid version of the game.

I guess it all depends on your point of view.

Good point. I know that is why so many people love nfs3, 4, 5 and 6 on PC, because they're so moddable. But no matter how much mods I do, it doesn't make huge improvements on the quality. Only EA have the power to do that.
As you spoke of the playstation against pc versions, I only play nfs through those two consoles, I no longer care for the rest.
Also, I only care for the first six nfs games, as they are what you would call "real nfs". As for which version is better for me, here is my personal intake. nfs1,2 and 5 are better on PC. The other three (the best three) are better on playstation in my eyes.

Hard choice beetween HighStakes and PorscheUnleashed, but i choose PorscheUnleashed (graphic, music, handling, damages & repairing, buying & selling cars, test driver missions, that idea with eras, special races for old historical cars in modern era, etc, just all was perfect)

I think Porsche Unleashed (PC) is also better than High Stakes (PC), even though there's more to do on High Stakes. Porsche Unleashed has amazing tracks, nice Porsche models, great realistic driving for once, which we hadn't received since the original, and yeah.

Porsche 2000 no contest.

I just love that all the tracks in it are point-to-point race, and no boring circling around the boring looking tracks. I prefered the older Test Drive games over Grand Prix type games because of it.

yeah well, for me the ps1 has very limited things. Like hardly any cars, barely any modes, terrible steering, suckish physics, and the most retarded cop system ever. One crash into a wall next to a cop gets you busted. Same with being PITed for 2 seconds by the police. And they're annoying as hell when they yell at you.

The cops are fine. In fact, on PC they can be boring and too easy, also voice chatter is very unrealistic. The cops will give you 8 tickets on NFS3 and 4 for PC, that just doesnt happen. On the PS1, you can get automatically arrested if you last too long, also, I hate it on the PC versions when the cop says "I'm giving you a warning"when your actually ticketed. No go I'm afraid. The cops on the PC High Stakes are confusing, sometimes they set Roadblocks and Spikes, sometimes they do hardly anything, you always have to use a specific type of car just to get a good pursuit, all these specifications. On the PS1 version, you can be any car and they'll do the job.
Radio chatter on NFS 4 (PC) is still the same unrealistic Police chatter featured on NFS3 (PC). NFS4 on PS1 made a huge jump into the lead.
Steering doesn't suck, it's awesome, (speaking of NFS3 and 4 PS1). On the NFS3 PC, steering sucks. Too simplistic, unrealistic and boring. However, the steering on High stakes on PC is a big improvement, but still behind the PS1 version, and still a little simple, which probably explains why the PS1 port has longer lasting interest.

EDIT: I just noticed you haven't tried HS on PS1,you might as well. It's a big improvement from NFS3 (PS1). Huge.

How can you like HP2 on PC over the PS2 version? Its impossible... Unless you haven't played the PS2 edition. I myself prefer HP1, HS and HP2 on Playstation (nfs1, nfs2, Porsche Unleashed are better on PC) , but HP2 is completely different among both versions. PS2 version >>> PC version.

Yeah, the PC version does have some very unrealistic things in it, but at least its fun. Well, to me at least. Same with HS. Sometimes, realism just doesn't do it alone. The ps1 HP to me seems like a anger stimulant. It pisses me off because of the way....well, you read what I said before.
