without a serious tuning, a corolla is just as laughable as the most basic car every factory produces. you can't even list it as sporty.

Cram a 3S-GTE into an AE86 which weights 850 kg, then you tell me.

What the hell kind of statement is that? Thats like me saying to just drop a 350ci small block into ANY car, and you tell me.
Besides, it's just a Celica/MR2 engine.... both which were OK cars. Want to impress me? Drop a Supra TT engine in it.

But all in all, it's just a RWD Corolla... More of a Budget Tuner.
and.... it's nothing compared to this.

TBH, I'd be hard pressed to call any four cylinder car a beast.

Quick? Maybe, with work depending on which one we're talking about.

even the quickest driveable corolla is still not a beast. you have to work too much to get too little, and i'm not comparing it with muscle cars or anything. I'm comparing it with imports. The car wasn't designed to be a sports car. It was turned into one. And so far, almost all of the cars listed here were sports on their stock form.

I'm not dissing the corola, but i stand with MCF, to call it a "beast" is to give it too much credit.

You could cram a 3S-GTE into a Yugo 47 which weighs 850 kg, but that wouldn't make it a sports car.

If it was the M6 it would have an M badge on the grill. This is a picture of the M version.

You guys are right, missed the M badge. I knew there was something wrong... All Google seems to have are 635CSi pics because I googled for "BMW M635CSi" which is the actual name of the car I wanted to post. I replaced the old pic now.

Anyway, the M635CSi is the "original" M-version of the E24. The E24 M6 is a US-spec-only car.

BUT, it's still street legal, and more than likely can be driven on a day to day basis.... That's a trademark of GN and GNX. Drive it to the Strip, win, drive it home, take it for a cruise the next day.... The whole time, the hood wasnt up, not even once. Kind of a Drive it like you stole it type of car, because it's drivetrain is so worry-free.

The Grand Nation and the GNX would probably be the perfect example of a beast, due to it's one color choice (black), it's evil stance, yet looks nothing like an "in your face" type of car.... Most commonly viewed from the back as it pulls away.... I can go on and on about these cars......

It's also one of the few (only one?) V6 cars to be universally acknowledged as a muscle car.

you seem to either don't get it, or have zero clue about cars. If even a subaru vivio can drift, what makes you think that a '67 GT500 wont be able to do it? You give drift and the AE86 way too much credit.

A stock '67 GT500 Stang got more than enough torque to drift if that is your point. So yeah, in the right hands, a '67 GT500 can do that.

Heck, take a look at D1, many drivers are opting for muscle or V8 equipped cars because the huge amounts of torque they can produce.

btw, since you don't know, FF Corollas, being more precise, the AE111, are actually sports cars, they were made as sports cars, and sold as sports cars, and guess what, for FF cars they are actually FAST (OMFG!!!). So know your toyotas before making bold claims.

Number 1: Is that all the Corrola is good for? Lets see that thing actually race.
Surely for it being as small as it is, it can actually do alil better than compete in a "show" where its about fighting a poorly handling car. I dont even consider that a sport. Might as well have carny music playing with a ringmaster and a few amusement park rides.

And, get to know your cars alil better before posting. Dont you know anything about the 67 GT500? In it's day, for a car with a big iron block, that car was a killer on the track... Road Courses that is. Shelby designed that car for such a purpose.... But, it was also able to drift easily. Granted, it may not be as agile, but what do you expect? Load your Corrola's back seat with enough junk to make it as heavy as the GT500, and it wont be able to pull itself around a turn downhill.

Now The GT500 I posted was the very Special GT500E. Yes it's a production car, and has all the up to date goodies, racing type suspension, Aluminum Block and heads, lightweight body panels, and performance brakes... all backed up with around, what? 600 horses?
Yeah... I think it can do it.

Besides, I wouldnt be so proud of a car with no style that can only drift.

Now for some GT500E Super Snake Action.....
