Wiegert Vector W8 twin turbo (release @ next week)

i lost finished version of this car. i need re texture it again so it takes lil longer to release it.

heres some information:

1991 Vectotr W8 Twin Turbo Coupe.
"The idea is to built a reputation, not ride on one." stated Gerald Wiegert in the March, 1991 issue of Road & Track magazine. As founder and president of Vector Aeromotive Corporation, Wiegert's intent was to manufacture a 2.seat mid-engine supercar built of advanced materials and aerospace systems technology.

The Vector's technology is constructed around a massive chrome-moly steel tube frame, an aluminum-honeycomb floor pan, and aluminun panels that are apoxy-bonded and riveted to the frame to form monocoque crush zones. Hte energy-absorbing areas are monocoque, and the body is made from varying amounts of carbon fiber, Kevlar, fibreglass mat and unidirectional fibreglass resulting in a structually unstressed unit.

The engine is mounted transversely behind the seats, and the transmission case is a GM Turbo Hydra-matic similar to those used in front drive Oldsmobile Toronados and Cadillac Eldorados in the 1970s. However, every part within the 3-speed gearbox was specially machined from materials able to withstand the 630 lb.-ft. of torque at 4900 rpm and at 7.0-psi of turbocharger boost. The Vector turns 0 - 100 mph in 8.3 seconds!.

Awesome!!! I love this car, its one of my favorites! There was a nice red one in the movie 'red sun rising'. I was myself thinking about making the newer Vector SV8 but that idea has been put aside. Make heaps of updates on this one

Yeha wasn't this the company that was bought by Lamboghini and they were gonna make a car with a Diablo engine and twin turbos and stuff and then Lamborghini got taken over by the indnesions and they nearly went broke? aAnd now Audi has bought Lmaboghini and Vector with it?

Ne way the starter of the company Vector was Pe''d cos the year he relesed it i AUs the Nissan Pulsar Vector came out.

WWHHHHHAAAAAT?!?! a Weigert(sp? couldn't bother looking) Vector W8 with a Chevy V8?!!?!? It holds a Lambo V12 when i last checked, because they are both owned by the same people apparently.... maybe i'm thinking of the M12? i donnu, correct me if i'm wrong.... But looks excellent so far!! Keep up the good work!!

Yep, you are thinking of the M12. This W8TT is one of the fastest American made cars. And all Vectors were made using aerospace technology.

and btw. that photo "texture" haves 1992 model side vents.

BTW. Vector was independent car manufacturer when W1 - W8 models were built, in 1989-92. all Vectors were built in CA.

V'Power, The same company that bought Lamborghini from Chrysler pulled a hostile takeover of Vector aeromotive and threw Gerry Wiegert out of the company after a short court battle and then turned the WX/3 into an Italian copy called the M12, but since nobody wanted an american car with an italian engine, Vector folded. From what I hear there are still several Vectors in various states of assembly still in the factory.

NFS4 version aswell? I always just assumed this was only going to be a NFS4 car. NFS6 asewll will be cool! The HB looks awesome. It can only look better when then wheels and OC are done
