I've been using dgVoodoo 1.50 beta2 with NFS2SE since last year. Recently I tried changing the game resolution using the dgVoodoo setup, but I'm unable to save my preferences.
The OK, Cancel, and About buttons are not clickable. And it now says that I'm in incompatible mode. Here's a screenshot: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/442/dgnfs.png/ It was working a few months ago, I don't know what I did to have caused this. Any ideas on how to fix this? |

Perhaps you need to select a different refresh rate. I'm not sure whether the one you're trying to select is incompatible to dgVoodoo, your graphics card or display, but since this problem occurred after changing the resolution, the refresh rate is likely the cause.

The only thing I did from the time it worked and now was update my drivers and use a new monitor. I messed around with the refresh rate and resolution, but that doesn't seem to work.
I can still play NFS2SE, I'm just stuck with the incorrect settings. |

I think your problem is really the resolution, as for me at 1366x768 32bit (60 Hz) it does work without any problems, even under Windows 7. I think changing the resoultion back to previous setting which worked is the solution. Maybe change the desktop resolution from video card's control panel

I've tried everything, nothing seems to get me out of incompatible mode. I even tried my old monitor again and still the same problem.
Luckily, a workaround I was able to do was bring the dgVoodoo setup to my laptop where I was able to save my settings, then transfer it back to my PC. 1024x768 is the best resolution I can use. Guess it'll have to do. |
