45 degrees exhaust

I need some help to finish my car.
Comment only if you have some useful information.
I want exhaust to be 45 degrees rotated just like on a screenshot from 3D MAX :)
What to type in my mpoints.txt:


# mount point rotations: z, y, x geometry part name
_LEFT_EXHAUST03 0.0 -90.0 0.0 G35_KITW04_BODY_A

For which game ? If it's for MW 2005 , you can use BinViewer instead :)
If it's for UG2 , I don't know since I didn't used those on my BMW M3 since I didn't find any use to them.

In UG2 you have to change one of those numbers to 45.0 or -45.0, sorry that I don't remember which one of the three, you'll have to do some trial and error. I'm guessing it's the last one so maybe try 0.0 0.0 45.0 first (and -45 for the other side, forgot which one is which).

You wrote the commands correct, but don't forget that if exhaust are in rear bumper, use 0.0 -90.0 0.0 and if they are in skirt sides, use 0.0 -45.0 0.0.

Whenever mount point was in car rear or near of exhausts, you need to use negative number (-90.0 and -45.0)
Whenever mount point was in car front (specially for headlights), you need to use affirmative number (90.0). ;)

Take a look to attach files. I want it on skirt of my body kits :) 0.0 -45.0 0.0 and  0.0 -45.0 0.0 rotate them up and down. I need a side rotation :(

Wait a minute … Why did you put exhausts as mount points? I meant mount points of exhausts, not the exhausts. Mount points are small cubes that makes effects on the car. (Brakelights and exhausts while using nitro and headlights).
Rotate exhausts yourself in their correct positions and just make some small cubes (like I attached a picture in the post) and set them as mount points. Then, put them in near of them. You can look at attached picture. Should help you.

Try to play with the Z value , since the Y rotation is used for tilting the exhaust up and down. X or Y values could either be way to play with height / rotation of the exhaust.

Since you saw what happens if you apply -45.0 for the Y value , you can try to use -45.0 value on either X or Z value to see what happens. Be sure to wrote them in a note , in case you forgot what happens when modifying values.

This tube is just for example. I use the same way with mount points ant mpoints.txt file. But here i want to experiment with it to make it nicer.

To all my friends i find the way… Mix of X,Y and Z was the key :) 10X and wait for upload after finishing decals. And maybe a NFS MW body and vinyl style :)

One last question. My model is ripped from NFS Shift 2 but i found the same car in Undercover. if i import GTR body from Undercover are they the same scale :)

About that I don't know , but I know that some kits from Shift 2 are a pain to scale sometimes.
