I have some questions (NFSU2)

Oct. 31, 2018, 12:34 p.m.
Hey guys,

This is my first forum post, I used to play all the old Need for Speed games on the PS2 and also 2015 and Payback on the Xbox One, and I have just got Underground 2 on my laptop. I have been having fun playing around with some stuff and some mods and I have had a couple of issues;
[li]Using the music importer mod I have tried multiple times to set it up and making sure I did everything correctly, but everytime I test if it has worked Snoop Dogg is still there and none of the songs have been replaced.[/li]
[li]I have made a new background for the loading screen in 1600x900, but TexEd won't let me replace the default one unless it is 1024x1024 but I want it to match my screen.[/li]
[li]Not really an issue but I would like to learn how to create my own mod and put cars and/or parts into the game[/li]
Thanks, if anybody can help with any of those things I will be very grateful.

works, but it still only fits into the old size, any ideas?

Because you should use properly resolution, like 2048*1024 or 1024*512 for new background. And it happens with all textures. texture width and height must be a multiple of 2,4,8 and etc. here is some examples: 512*32 , 256*64, 4096*512, 512*1024, 128*256,256*2048 and etc
and try to use new version https://nfs-tools.blogspot.com/2018/09/nfs-texed-v11-beta-released.html

Thanks, that made it a bit better, however I want to use a loading screen that will cover my whole screen instead of being square with two black rectangles down the side. Is there a way to redefine the boundaries in which a texture fits?

Use textures in dds format to replace the loading screen texture
Res: 1024x512
This is the exact resolution

Does this get rid of the black borders? I will try it when I get home.

Nope, doesn't work. Does anybody know where there might be something telling the image to sit inside a certain area? then I could change this.
