"Shaggin' Wagon" 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis LS

Nov. 1, 2008, 6:12 a.m.
Since the 944 is in it's own warehouse now, stored for winter, this is now my daily driver.

Make: Mercury
Model: Grand Marquis LS
Year: 2000
Engine: 4.6L SOHC V8
Transmission: 4-Speed Auto w/ overdrive
Horsepower: 200 @ 4250 RPM
Torque: 265 @ 3000 RPM
Kilometers: 211,XXX

It's big, it's comfy, EVERYTHING is power, it's got balls, and horrible horrible gas mileage.

What'd you expect? It's not a Ferrari. It's a lot more comfortable then your car, and is more spacious. That is what it was built for; not crazy power. Not hating on your ride though, I like the GTPs a lot.

Really? I get 22 miles to the gallon of regular with my car. Panther platform cars are able to consistently get on average 25mpg.

a wintercar? my dad drives one and you have to be damn careful not to let your rear end swing out on you in the snow.

but yeah, by dad has one and he plans on buying a truck in the spring and there is a good chance that i will be getting the marquis.

Good on you man, it's a nice & powerful sedan. The V8 engine must be nice with enough pulling power for a big sedan. Take good care of it.
