I give you two options in editing Direct Draw Surface.

1. Use Adobe Photoshop CS4, install a plugin called NVIDIA Normal Map filter.

2. Use MS DirectX Texture Editor. You have to download the 0.5 GB file and install it.
If you use Vista, run the executable file in "C:\ Program Files\ Microsoft DirectX 9.0 SDK (August 2006)\Utilities\Bin\x64\".
If you use XP, run the executable file in "C:\ Program Files\Microsoft DirectX 9.0 SDK (August 2006)\Utilities\Bin\x84\".

in that case, i recommend you the old version of NVIDIA plugin, it's in the MW Pack Vinyl Edit 1.1.
save the file in DX1 format, no mipmaps.

nah, its okay, tex editor is working very well! I have an epic version actually of " Don't even think about speeding!"

I REALLY WANT TO SEE THAT.

okay, I'll post it on imageshack, but before, I have a problem,

I replaced the 2 textures (the 256x128 and the 512x256) in my Nfs TexEd, but the 512 image is the only one wich wants to work. So when I'm near my singboard, it shows my new epic texture, but when I go backward, it slowly returns to the old one.

And,
- I saved
- It is DTX1
- It has the good proportions (?)

I also had a problem with that one. Maybe, because NFS Texted is not a perfect program at.
You can solve this problem by adjusting your video preferences to the "MAAAAXXXX" performance and don't forget to choose your texture filter as "ANISTROPIC".

added notes:
change the color of "think" with red, because it may be not visible with other filter.
