Description
This is the fourth vehicle of a series dedicated to fix cars with pop-up headlights. The problem with some of them is that their pop-up headlights are always closed when they should be open, as there is a day-night cycle in this game and cars like the MR2, the AE86 and the RX-7 (FD) have them opened without issues. I'm just bringing the consistency Black Box didn't have when they modeled these cars into the game.
Features:
- Pop-up headlights from NFS World… Yes, they were already there, just unfinished in terms of material and texture assignment.
- A couple of fixes for the stock rear bumper and the grill textures. The rear bumper grill became shiny silver when seen from far away, and the grill textures were not correctly mapped in some areas, so I replaced them with a black texture except for the engine cover grill. This way it looks closer to the real life one and much cleaner.
- Diablo GT exhaust pipes for the wide bodykit available, courtesy of Gamemodels.ru. I've always considered that the stock exhaust pipes were out of place in that bodykit, due to it being heavily based on the Diablo GTR. As a result, I put these exhaust pipes as they are more fitting to the bodykit. However, if you don't agree with me, you should then download the "DIABLO Vanilla Style" zip, in which I've kept the original exhaust pipes.
Observations:
- It's fully compatible with Soapbox Race World. As with the rest of my mods, I've just modified the geometry and the textures of the car, the performance hasn't been touched.
- If you feel it's worth it, feel free to modify, improve and/or publish this and the rest of my mods wherever you want.
Installation:
First choose which mod you want. If you like what I've done with the wide bodykit and the exhaust pipes, download the "DIABLO Modded Exhaust WB1" zip. If you don't, download the "DIABLO Vanilla Style" zip.
Afterwards, extract the contents of the chosen zip in: (Your game files folder) / CARS / DIABLO and replace the files inside (always make backups).

Have fun with it :)
