As you all know, the camera views in NFSHP2 are not the greatest in the world. So, I took it upon myself to try to make them a little better. My initial plan for this project was to create a cockpit view for NFSHP2, however that proved impossible because if you move the camera position any lower than right above the top of the car the camera suddenly goes black and causes other glitches.

So, I did the next best thing and that was to create a "over the hood" camera view. This view took a couple days worth of tweaking to make it work right, but it looks pretty good now for original NFSHP2 cars and most all of the add on cars I have tested also. This view is very useful when trying to dodge exploding barrels, doing the pit maneuver in cop car, and it generally gives a much better driving feel in my opinion. It will take a little getting used to, but I think most people will like it. I really like it and personally it is pretty much the only view I use in the game now.

The back view and far away back view have also been mildly tweaked. Minor things were changed such as camera angle, position, and focusing to give them a more original to NFS feel. I believe that these adjustments make it a lot easier to control your car compared to the original rear camera views. The bumper view has not been altered.

Attached are photos of the modified views. The pics are all views with the original car Dodge Viper GTS and an add-on car AC Cobra. Install info is in the readme.
