Description

Hey guys, THanks for dropping by and to those that read this little story of mines, thankyou very much for your kindness. Anyway this project started when I first started modding cars for NFSMW. And I came across a user by the name of MTEBI. We exchanged words, had small arguements, but in the end became pretty good online buds. XD. The first thing he said to me was, and I quote:

"Just one quetion, you mustn't answer:
Did you ever model a peugeot 4002?"

I don't know if he made a mistake and meant to say 'must' instead of 'mustn't', however I didn't answer him but eventually answer him because he asked me it again. And as you guys should already know, the answer was no. However during the time when I was reworking XenTek's Lethal Injection model from nfs4 to MW, I was thinking of doing the car for him and myself. Upon finishing my La Nina Concept for NFSMW I finally started making the Peugeot 4002. SInce there are NO blueprints of the concept, I had to use a 90% side image from a photoshoot and a frontal render done by the original author of the car, naturally the dimensions were going to be off. SO instead of trying to make an exact replica, I made it my own concept as well.

A little history about the Peugeot 4002 that some of you guys might not know and might be interested in. In 2004, Peugeot held a Design Contest for 3D Modelers and Designers alike. Many people submitted their work for a chance to win and possibly get their car made into a real life model. Anyway the Peugeot 4002 came out in 1st place and the author is Stefan Schulze. Stefan is also a Cinema 4D user like I am but is way way more educated in the field and more 'professional'.

Back to my concept, After making the top and the front area with the grill. It started to resemble a whale rather than the Peugeot Lion, So I dubbed it Whale Concept, since the frontal hump looked like a whale's head and the grill looked like the mouth of a whale getting ready to munch on some krills, thanks to XenTek for telling me the correct spelling of the creatures that they dined on ;P.

After I made more of the car, I needed a name for it, and I got names like spermwhale, zangalang, uglymobile, etc. But my bud DevianB from deviantart mentioned a name of a mobile home/RV called the Airstream. So I looked it up and well the shape of the Airstream looks like my concept…so i stuck with that and besides it has a nice sound to it. Since the car has that major airflow front grill and 4 turbos, XD.

From the new name I went off to make a manufacturer and secondary logo. First off! I'm getting tired of how EVERYONE and mainly converters, how they all follow the same trend and always only stay within their bounds of their clan(s). Every single car on here and everywhere has the same thing, a manufacturer logo in the maufacturer area and the car name in the secondary area. ALWAYS the same, and very tiring. Why not be original on something for once and be creative. As you guys should already know, these 2 areas intersect and can actually be one image. Basically instead of doing a canvas of Manufact=128x64 and secondary=256x64, you can just make one long one that's 384x64. With that said, anyone that has a signature of somekind should be able to make something resiliant and elegant in this space rather than just being boring. Step up to the plate, or are you too scared of being yourself and wish to hide behind your 0's and 1's and boringness?

Anyway so I called up my brother to draw me the words Airstream in whatever way he wanted and I'll just retrace it in photoshop. Now keep in mind, I have no photoshop or image editing skills, so I did what I could. If I ever do make another car, I'm definately going to ask a signature maker for help. Anyway with that said. I know it's not the best but I'm being original, unlike 99% of everyone else here.

Originally I was going to put in holes in the rear window like that of the rear transparent hatch on the Ferrari F50, but lack of free time to work on it made it not possible. I was also going to make a vaccuum for the area behind the door and firewall piece that would suck in air, but again, same reason. I originally had wires on the engine, but didn't put them in the game model because of their high poly count and the poly smashed versions had a lot of vertex errors.

The minimal dash items that I made just to fill in some gaps were inspired from the Seat Ibiza, I forgot which year, XD. The gear shifter was from my Gallardo toy. The car in full is about 54k polygons. The driver is an additional 10k, and the wheels are 24k each. Given that 98% of downloaders will swap them out right after download gives me the reason to not bother taking the time to lower their polygon count.

There is a reason for the huge spoiler, I mean think about it, V12 engine with 4 turbos…hmmm….one could only guess.

==============================

Car Info:
Replaces: Subaru Impreza
Mods that need mentioning: Spoiler can be swapped but not removed. Windows cannot be tinted.

To install, just open up the rar file and then in there are 3 folders. Pick one(description of each folder below.) Inside each folder is the car folder that you put into your addons folder and the 89-Peugeot.bin file that you put in your manufacturer folder. Enjoy!

There are 3 Performances included and they are:
-MTEBI's Drift version which still has power but allows you to slightly drift on turns.
-MTEBI's Fun Nitro version which is the same as above I think but you have ALOT of NOS!
Keep a note that with the nitro version, all cars will have alot of NOS, including cpu as well.
-The last one is mines, I call this one Power and GRIP, because well it's not for the faint of heart and those that can't use the brakes. There is a reason for that huge spoiler, and you'll quickly understand why with this performance file. Sure it's not realistic but neither is a v12 with quad turbos and barely any ventilation.

For a video of how I play my performance file, go here:

NOTE about my performance, if you want regular speed, just drive it stock, it handles great stock without any upgrades to start with.

Tools Used:
Cinema 4D R10
Photoshop 10(not the extended one)
Zanoza Modeler 1.07
Arushan's Mod Tools
Notepad
My computer.

===============================

Well I think that's about it. Ever noticed that with each car submission I put out, the description just gets longer and longer and I find more stuff to complain or rant about? I have noticed that on my computer and others that are running windows vista or 7, that if you have the UAC off, the secondary and manufacturer logos won't load in on some cars and or shows the default one instead of the temp. So if you fit this description, turn it on and re-input the files and hopefully that will fix it.

Anyway thanks for your interest in my addon and thankyou for dropping by, have a nice day and a wonderful week!

Cheers!
