Sorry to bump in... But I'm one of the newbies here... I ran the install.exe. but it has errors creating shortcuts and Need for Speed Most Wanted Mod loader. So I do not have a Need For Speed (Mod Loader) shortcut on my desktop or NFSMW directory. In NFSMW directory I only have d3d9.dll, modloader(CONFIGURATION SETTINGS) new file named ADDONS with CARS_REPLACE and FRONTEND installed. In other words, I cannot run the game with mod enabled. So may I ask how can I allow my system to run speed.exe. in mod mode...

well open original shortcut to nfsmw
it should look like this in the target "E:\NFS MOST WANTED\speed.exe"
add -mod and now it should look like this: "E:\NFS MOST WANTED\speed.exe" -mod

Just right click the shortcut, press attributes, delete the C: Program files/EA Games (etc etc)
And write down there the directory which holds the SPEED program. (Which starts the game. :D)

I have the same problem where the installer says that i do not have nfs most wanted installed. can someone help me? Oh, and bad_philli, if you see this, can you post the link of the thread which helped you solve the problem?
