Overview
Many MW players would have got boring with the current cars in the game and want car modifications. Few years ago, Arushan cracked the game and made the first modded car in Most Wanted. (ever since after NFSHP2)

Some were able to install the car, some didn't even bother reading the instructions, but others went clueless and needed help. This question has been going around the community for a very long time.

Requirements
Before you begin trying to mod your game, make sure you have this requirements.

1. NFS Most Wanted v1.3.
You will need to install the v1.3 patch in order to work. This is required for Mod Loader. You can check your game version by looking on the bottom right hand corner of your monitor. It should say 1.0 or 1.3, depending on whether you have gotten the patch.

2. Total Commander, Window Explorer OR any other File Manager programs.
This is quite simple, so you shouldn't have any problem with it.

3. Folder storing all your downloaded cars.
Another simple bit, this is ACTUALLY optional, unless you wish to follow it.

And lastly, you should have a little common knowledge about transferring files and reading. We're ready, now let's continue.

Getting Files
First off, download the car you wished to. Search it on NFSCars (here) or any NFS site. If you're lazy, you can click this link below:

For example, I will download Villain's Nissan 350Z....

Download it and save on the desktop or the folder you create.

Now, download the Ferrari 360 Spider Mod by Arushan. This includes a Mod Loader which is REQUIRED.

Again, download it and save anywhere you like. We're done with getting the files.

Working Plan
This part has two parts to the instructions. One is extract, One is Installing the 360 Spider Mod, one is Installing your downloaded car.

PART 1: EXTRACTING THE DOWNLOADED FILES.

Now we're almost getting the car in the game. Extract both the 360 Spider Mod and the car you downloaded to some temporary folder, seperate them with labels if you wish to.

PART 2: INSTALLING THE 360 SPIDER MOD & MODLOADER.

Double click on the exe file after extracting the 360 Spider Mod and install. If will automatically copy the files to your NFSMW folder location. (Default is CProgram Files\EA Games\Need For Speed Most Wanted).

Few changes you will get.

-Firstly, there is now a new desktop shortcut for NFSMW and it has (Mod Loader) named. If you right click and hit "Properties", the ending file path ends with a " -mod". This is required to be insert for the Mod Loader, or else it will not work.

-Secondly, there will be a folder called "ADDONS" in your NFSMW Game Directory. Inside should have "MANUFACTURER" and "CARS_REPLACE". Even further inside, is the files for the 360 Spider mod. (which replaces Mercedes-Benz SL65, a Bonus car in the game.) This is where the car logos and car models will be changed.

-Finally, your game start screen will change. If you launch the game, you will realise that a text message comes up somewhere in the bottom middle, saying Mod Loader is loaded. If you get that, it all works perfect.

After this, you're done with Part 2.

PART 3: INSTALLING YOUR DOWNLOADED CAR MOD.

Now, remember the folder that you extract the car you downloaded? Go back to that folder. Copy anything inside "CARS_REPLACE" to the NFSMW Game "ADDONS" Folder. (Default is CProgram Files\EA Games\Need For Speed Most Wanted\ADDONS\CARS_REPLACE)

If you unzip the files and there is a "MANUFACTURER" folder in it, copy the contents inside respectively. (Again, Default is CProgram Files\EA Games\Need For Speed Most Wanted\ADDONS\MANUFACTURERS)

Until here, if you did EVERYTHING correctly, you have successfully installed the files and should work like a charm.

Testing/Trying Out
Now you've got everything correctly done, let's try it out. Hit that speed.exe icon on your desktop to launch the game. Now when the game starts, you should have Mod Loader loaded and game is v1.3.

Go to Quick Race, and select a random track and options. If your car is replaced in the Bonus section, look in the Bonus Catergory. (Or the Original Stock cars if it is being replaced.)

If you see your modded car replacing the original ones, your mod officially works!

Have fun with your new modded car!

When you copy finish, go back to your modloader and update your mod loader. When you updated, the car logos and car will be updated.

What do you mean "update your mod loader"?

Sorry, I don't know. Once I install the modloader and copy the addons files, I just click the modloader to start the game. It seems work fine.

I am wondering is there any thing I need to update for the modloader? Do I missing something here?

what if the 360 doesnt work? My NFS MW was installed on a hundred windows ago...meaning? here's the meaning: I installed MW, but i never reinstall or uninstall it. I kept reinstalling my windows operating systems and MW is still working. just like GTA SA or GTA VC or GTAIII or NFSUG1 or 2...
So, because of that, i dont have any registry values entered in my windows registry to recognize the game for the 360+modloader. the modloader should be universal, it shouldnt depend on windows registry crap.
Now somebody tell me whata f*** am i supposed to do. I did all i could, i got the files extracted from someone else having a proper MW installment, didnt work either. please help.

Copy your important files and put them somewhere safe. After this format XP's hd and reinstall XP. This is only what I can think of for you. Not sure how it actually goes but just make sure that the hd is formatted completely, not fast option.

You DO know that you can just replace the orignal Most Wanted folder in your CARS folder with the new one. Example: Victording's 1970 chrylser 300c. I replace BMWM3GTR in my CARS fodler with the one included in the zip. THEN WE TAKE HER FOR A SPIN!! But the wheels are in the wrong positions, lol. I decided to wing it with this technique because:

1. I couldn't make videos! I swear, I have tired everything to make GameCamLite work with the freakin mod loader but no luck and GCL is by far my favorite game recording software easy to use and free

2. I don't mind the wheels in wrong positions. All that matters is the car works I gonna put up a video on YouTube of a chase of my 300C "Patriot" car. You'll see later today hehe

@Civic_Undercover - That won't work, best thing you should do is use Mod Loader to correct the wheels.

Also, if you want to record easily with modloader and trainer, PM me, I can register the fraps for you easily. GCL sucks period.

I'm new around here and I reckon you could help me. I've "installed " a couple of custom cars but they're all messed up and I can't really tell what I did wrong. Could you help me?

Use the Mod Loader to correct the wheel axis. Also, remember that you have to put the downloaded files for the car in NEED FOR SPEED MOST WANTED/ADDONS/CARS_REPLACE/.

For example, that Buick Wildcat Replaces the SL65. Download it and unzip to a temporary folder. Next, go to your NFS MW Game folder.

Create a new folder called ADDONS (In Caps!). If you already done that, skip this.

Now, in your temporary folder, you should have extracted the downloaded car. If it has a folder called CARS_REPLACE (in caps), move it into ADDONS folder.

If your extracted zip has SL65 Folder, do this.

-Go to ADDONS folder.
-Create a new folder named CARS_REPLACE (Again, caps)
-Go into the CARS_REPLACE folder. Now copy over the SL65 from the temporary folder you extracted into.

Same goes for the rest of the cars. Please post if you still have problems.

Hey all, I have the same problem with "TP" temp350 where the logos would be, any ideas on how to get the correct logos ? I followed the install instructions to a tee. Cars look awesome and work perfectly, but the logos are missing. These new rides are awesome !!!

Cancel that last request, I found what I didn't do ! Forgot to transfer the BIN files to the manufacturers folder in both locations. One problem is that I can't get correct logos for the '70 Chevelle 454 or '69 Charger R/T. Not a big deal, but if anyone has any ideas please pass them on. Thanks anyhow and have a great night.
