Description
This car is a Chevrolet Impala Pack. It comes in three versions: Civilian, Taxi, and 9C1 Police. These B-Body Impala are based on the traffic Chevrolet Caprice Taxi. Features: Edited mesh on the pillars, side, front, rear, and on the four wheels and painstakingly handcrafted textures. Hope everyone enjoys this car.
The Facts:
The B-Body Chevrolet Impala was introduced in 1977, and unfortunately, it wasnÂ’t a big hit and also unpopular (compared to the highly sucessful Dodge Monaco and Plymouth Fury of the late 1970s). In 1980, the Impala was redesigned and thereafter it grew popularity. But by 1982, compitition began to fade and suddenly the Impala sales took off. 1985 was the last year for the Impala (due to slow selling figures). In 1986, the Impala was out of production. That same year, the body style continued under the Caprice name and has a new grille, headlights and tailights to give it a more modern look. These boxy-styling B-Body Caprices would continue until 1991. In that year, the Caprice received a newly restyled body with C-shaped pillars. In 1994, the Impala made itÂ’s return but in a muscular SS style however. Finally at the end of 1996, Chevrolet discontinued itÂ’s full-sized Caprice and Impala line for good. In 2000, the Impala once again returned to the line-up, but this time, it was marketed as a mid-size passenger car. Also, Chevrolet had brought back the Police Package line-up for the newly mid-sized Impala, which is still in production today. Gone, but certainly not forgotten, these B-Body Impalas represent a great collectorÂ’s piece. Even the Police Package and Taxi Package aslo represent a great glory to collectorÂ’s worldwide. Oh and donÂ’t forget to notice that the Impala shares itÂ’s bodystyle with the Caprice.
